Ep. 93: Living with Chronic Pain & Fibromyalgia with Casey Stanley

Today on the Chronically Healing Podcast we have Casey Stanley of A Unique Life. Casey takes us through her story with leaving her job and starting her business to help people. Casey lets us in on what her life is like living in chronic pain, but how she’s continuing to live her best life.

I’m so grateful to Casey for being on the show and sharing her story!

In today’s episode we chat about:

    • Why she started A Unique Life after having to leave her job

    • The importance of allowing those with chronic illness who NEED to work from home to work from home (especially when it’s easy to do)

    • Why people with chronic and invisible illness aren’t treated the way that they should be and are compared to others without health issues (and how damaging that can be)

    • Finding compassion for other’s situation that you may not understand

    • Casey’s experience with fibromyalgia

Ep. 60 – Healing Ulcerative Colitis Symptoms & Advocating for Yourself with Katie Noble

Ep. 60 – Healing Ulcerative Colitis Symptoms & Advocating for Yourself with Katie Noble

Today’s episode is with the wonderful health coach, Katie Noble! Katie has a passion for teaching women to advocate for their health and take care of themselves from the inside out. During this episode, Katie takes us through her rollercoaster healing journey with Ulcerative Colitis.

Ulcerative Colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease that causes long-lasting inflammation and ulcers in your digestive tract. It’s an incredibly painful and debilitating illness, making it even more difficult to advocate for yourself at the doctor’s office. Katie takes us through how she has healed her body from this illness with food and lifestyle changes.

We also dive into how she’s now helping women with her health coaching practice because she took her health into her own hands and advocated for her health!

In today’s episode we chat about:

    • Katie’s tumultuous journey with finding out she had ulcerative colitis

    • The back and forth she had with doctors during her healing

    • How she used food & lifestyle to heal her symptoms

    • How a small change approach can actually make a BIG impact in your health

    • Why Katie is now a health coach, helping other women advocate for their health & fitness

    • Her tips for those looking to make the transition to a healthier lifestyle

Ep. 54 – Healing Hashimoto's Holistically with Allison Rassp

Ep. 54 – Healing Hashimoto's Holistically with Allison Rassp

Today on the podcast I have Allison Rasp of Hope with Hashimoto’s. Allison jumps into her story with Hashimoto’s which I guarantee so many of us with the disease can relate to. Her story mimics so many stories that I’ve heard before.

How Allison’s story differs, though, is by the action she took to take back her life and go after the things that she loves. Now Allison does holistic health coaching for women newly diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. During this episode she takes us through the ins and outs of her story, how to become your own advocate after being diagnosed and how radical lifestyle changes ultimately got her on the road to healing.

In today's episode we chat about ...

    • Becoming an advocate with Hasimoto’s
    • How to listen to your own body and intuition rather then ONLY believing what doctors are telling you
    • The types of personality types that tend to be in the Hashimoto’s pool
    • There’s more to healing than food - the radical lifestyle changes are where Allison’s healing took place
    • How she works with women of Hashimoto’s and her Hashimoto’s 101 Course for those newly diagnosed with Hashi
    • Her favorite rituals and routines
