    Natalie Spooner Competes in The Battle of the Blades for Fast and Female

    Natalie Spooner is an accomplished hockey player, having played with Team Canada since 2008. Since that time, Spooner has won numerous World Championship medals, as well as 2 Olympic Golds and a Silver for her country in Women's Ice Hockey.  She was recently selected in the fourth round in the inaugural season of the PWHL playing for her hometown city of Toronto. 

    Spooner also competed in the CBC's Battle of the Blades in 2019, with her skating partner, Andrew Poje where she competed for her chosen charity, Fast and Female. 

    Chuck Bastie speaks with Spooner to discuss her choice in Fast and Female, and her decision to compete in Battle of the Blades.

    The Inspiring Story of Chapman's Ice Cream

    Chapman's Ice Cream had been in Canada for decades when a fire in 2009 destroyed their Markdale, Ontario facility. 

    Nobody would've faulted founder, David Chapman for taking an insurance settlement and moving on. But instead, the Chapman's chose to stay in Markdale and re-build their facility, keeping hundreds of jobs in the Markdale surrounding area. 

    David Chapman's son, Ashley Chapman joins Chuck Bastie to discuss why the Chapman's chose to stay to re-build and why.

    Sheldon Kennedy Joins Chuck Bastie

    Sheldon Kennedy is a former NHL hockey player, and a spokesperson and advocate for the safety of children against sexual predators. 

    Sheldon was the winner of the CBC's Battle of the Blades in 2019! Along with his skating partner, Kaitlyn Weaver won $100,000 for their choice of charity, Canadian Tire's Jumpstart Program!

    Sheldon has been a tireless leader in the community and has used his platform and voice to raise awareness for change in society to help protect the vulnerable and less fortunate. 

    Sheldon is a Canadian hero and we are honoured to have him join us on Chuck's World of Infinite Mojo!

    Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe, Movie Producer Rob McCallum Joins Chuck Bastie

    Ernie Coombs, better known as, "Mr. Dressup" is a Canadian icon. 

    Canadian Film Maker, Rob McCallum brings his movie, "Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make Believe" to the screen to connect childhood memories with millions of Canadians. 

    McCallum's film took home the Toronto International Film Festival's People's Choice Award in 2023 as best documentary.

    McCallum joins Chuck Bastie to talk about his film, the process of making it and the magic of make-believe.

    Canadian Hockey Icon, Paul Henderson Talks about the Goal of My Life

    Paul Henderson is a Canadian hockey icon. 

    Henderson scored the game winning goals in games 6, 7 and 8 in the 1972 Summit series between Canada and the Soviet Union. His game winning goal in game 8 with 34 seconds left gave Canada the win over the Soviet Union in the series and elevated him to the stuff legends are made of!

    However, all the fame and fortune he received from that goal created more unanswered questions in his life, leaving Henderson to search for the real goal of his life.
