MMHP Season 3 Ep:16--Kristofer Englehardt-Putting Beatles To Bed Fully Uncovered

MMHP Season 3 Ep:16--Kristofer Englehardt-Putting Beatles To Bed Fully Uncovered

Our first 'return' guest on the MMHP, Bay City, MI, Author and Beatles fanatic Kristofer Engelhardt was our first author discussion outside of Sir Fred, during Season 1, Episode 12. He was already at work on Fully Uncovered when we sat him down to talk about his books, Beatles Series and Mark Farner. Please give that episode a listen once again and refresh!

In this episode, Kris dives into the autumn years of the fab two who are left with us and all the final treasures that have been laid upon his path from all four, completing his series with Beatles Fully Uncovered. Released Sept. 19, 2022, Englehardt sees no reason to tackle this topic anymore and gives us the lowdown on some of his favorite interviews and the ones that got away. Dr. J helps the crew dive even deeper with Kris, as he wasn't available the last time for the Season 1 interview. This episode has a lot of outtake footage as well, going off topic into Chuck Berry, U2, Queen and more. This is the Ultimate Author interview right here. Once again, sharpen your pencil and take notes folks...

Behind the Disc: Jack Panic's Evolution from Prodigy to Rockstar

Behind the Disc: Jack Panic's Evolution from Prodigy to Rockstar

Fasten your seatbelts, music enthusiasts, as I welcome the multi-faceted Canadian artist Jack Panic on this engaging installment of Music Junkies. Jack's musical voyage began with the piano at the tender age of eight, transitioning to the guitar, and eventually playing bass in the band Sparrows. As he shares his fascinating journey, we traverse the turbulent terrain of the music industry, unearthing insights about the endurance and sincerity found in bands like Motley Crue and Tommy Lee, punctuated by an intriguing encounter with DJ Ashba

But it's not all about the high notes and hit songs. The conversation takes a poignant turn, as we explore the echoes of managing relationships for artists living life in the fast lane. We dissect the transformation of the entertainment world, from the rock & roll rebellion of yesteryears to the more accountable and somewhat censored environment of today. Also on the playlist is a discussion about how concerts have evolved over the years, from a wild, immersive experience to a polished performance for social media.

Our deep dive into the world of music wouldn't be complete without discussing our favorite genres and songs, and underlining the importance of an open mind when it comes to appreciating different types of music. Jack and I also pull back the curtain on his secret Billy Talent show at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. Finally, we wrap up by exploring the creative process behind his music, the challenges of releasing an album independently, and where you can find him online. Tune in to this electric episode of Music Junkies and experience the thrilling journey of Jack Panic!

Chuck Berry: The Original King of Rock and Roll

Chuck Berry: The Original King of Rock and Roll

Chuck Berry (1926-2017) was the original King of Rock and Roll. That is according to Jon Brewer, and being referred to as 'God of rock docs,' he should know.

Jon discusses Chuck Berry and the making of his documentary about the American icon. The film tells the story of Chuck’s life through the lens of his relatives and friends, and also uses dramatic reenactments of certain situations Chuck Berry lived through.

Jon goes on to share a host of amazing stories drawn from his 50 years in the music business. He worked with the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, he was David Bowie's manager at one point, he produced some of Gerry Rafferty's songs, and he spent significant time with B.B. King. And that's just to name a few.

As Jon has more documentary projects under way, Factual America will be following his work and bring him back for more exciting stories about iconic musicians.

“Chuck Berry was the original king of rock and roll. He was a poet, he invented many words, and he created the teenage audience.” - Jon Brewer

Lil Naz X and The Gatekeepers of Country Music

Lil Naz X and The Gatekeepers of Country Music
Lil Nas X has been drawing tremendous controversy over his song Old Town Road with Billy Ray Cyrus. Many in the Country Music genre, and Hip Hop genre, have debated over whether Lil Nas X song Old Time Road is Country Music, or just another rap song with a country music feel to it.

The controversy started when DJ's in country music started playing the song and it caught steam. After being listed on the country music charts for a short period of time, the Country Music executives and labels decide that Lil Nas X song was not a country song based off the criteria of what they believe a country song to be.

After much hating and criticism, Lil Nas X and his team were approached by Billy Ray Cyrus to add him to the track. After adding Billy on the track it blew up and was listed as a country song. But, since was still removed from the Country Music Charts as of late.

Cool Water talks briefly on the six reasons why the Country Music industry dissed lil Nas X, and wouldn't let his song be listed on the Country Music Charts. Cool Water talks about the hidden agenda of the Country Music industry to keep Country Music music connected to the white culture.
