All rise! In the latest episode of NostalgiaCast '90s Palooza, Jonny and Darin subpoena Sonic Cinema founder and friend of the show Brian Skutle to make his case for JOHN GRISHAM'S THE RAINMAKER, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Matt Damon, Claire Danes, and Danny DeVito. We debate the movie's B-movie trappings and A-list cast, plus Coppola's "tainted" legacy and where his adaptation ranks in the long line of Grisham legal thrillers released during the decade. Court is now in session!

As the podcast begins to wind down, Diana picks the movie Stardust (2007) based off a special request from her friend Jill. Neither Ryan nor Diana had seen the movie before, but were delighted by this unfamiliar gem.

Episode 29 - The Family Stone

Episode 29 - The Family Stone
"I don't care whether you like me or not!" - Meredith Morton

Dysfunctional families. We've all got experience with them. Holidays are usually the best catalyst to amplify those dysfunctions. Add a new person/guest into the mix, and you have a recipe for lots of antics to ensue. For this episode, Melissa introduced Andrea to The Family Stone from 2005. There are some pretty big name actors in this cast but the movie was under the radar for both your hosts. The holiday season may be coming to a close, but family embarrassment has no calendar! Have fun listening to this episode!

    KYD 069 - My So-Called Life

    KYD 069 - My So-Called Life

This month your hosts are going a little off format and doing an entire series!  Calm down, don't give them too much credit...it was cancelled after one season.  We are, of course, talking about the most 90s show to have ever 90s'd in the 90s...My So-Called Life!  Strap in, darlings, because this is a long one!

Focused on the teen life of Angela Chase (Claire Danes) and her friends, Rayanne (AJ Langer) & Rickie, My So-Called Life aired on ABC from 1994-1995.  Angela and her friends face all of the every day trials of 90s teens: drug overdoses, sexual harassment, gay bashing...not to mention midterms!  Plus Jared Leto is there in all his pre-Joker glory!

This show was one of Chrysten's absolute favorites as a teen.  Dan, always keeping things on-brand, has never seen it.  So will he, like, love it...or whatever...?  Join us and find out!  And don't forget to RATE, REVIEW & SUBSCRIBE!

    KYD 060 - Little Women

    KYD 060 - Little Women

Hello, darlings!  Sorry we've been a bit tardy with this month's ep.  We've been busy trying to turn our new house into a home!  And speaking of happy homes...

Is there any home that seems more warm and full of familial bliss than the March family home in this month's film, Little Women?  Winona Ryder at her absolute charming best, Trini Alvarado as the consummate eldest sister, Claire Danes ugly crying in a non-annoying way, and Kirsten Dunst as the pain-in-the-ass lil' sis!  And don't forget the ultimate cool mom, Susan Sarandon, as Marmee!  Plus some young Christian Bale action, pre-batsuit!

Chrysten loved watching this movie with her little sister when they were kids.  Dan...has never even heard of Little Women.  Can our wife-host convince our husband-host of the glories of this female-centric (as well as female directed AND female written!) film?  Join us and find out!  And don't forget to RATE, REVIEW & SUBSCRIBE!
