    Becoming Skilled At Conflict Resolution

    Becoming Skilled At Conflict Resolution

Conflict is inevitable, and it can arise in any setting, including the workplace, personal relationships, or community environments, but how we handle it can make all the difference.

Conflict, in a business or personal relationship environment, refers to any disagreement or discord that arises between individuals or groups. It can be related to differing opinions, values, or goals. However, as Christians, we are called to handle conflicts in a way that reflects Christ's teachings of love, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

In this weeks episode, Harold will talk about learning to identify the main triggers that can cause conflict and the strategies needed to create an environment for conflict resolution.

    Subscriber-only episode

Now that you've been together for a bit, a sneaky little thing called unmet expectations can begin to sabotage your starry-eyed love affair. That's why it is so important that you START WITH YOU! Because friends, YOU are where it's at in your stepfamily!

Oftentimes, we have high expectations and low communications when it comes to what we need in our relationships. Today's episode revisits a modified version of #39, where Bill & Jen share the importance of reducing unmet needs through the power of having a combined marriage mindset.

We reference the SYMBIS - Assessment throughout the episode.  We invite you to take the assessment with us (it requires trained facilitators) so you can begin to build your Stepfamily Legacy.  The SYMBIS is the first step.  Check our website for enrollment opportunities or book a free, 30-minute consult to get started!

You know when you hear that mysterious rattle as you're driving in your car?
Sure you do, it's the sound that mysteriously disappears the moment you attempt to explain it...well, reenact it, really, when you're chatting with the mechanic.

Your mechanic may raise his eyebrows at you as you hiss, screech, or make some other, "what the heck is wrong with my car" sound...but, he will listen. And...he'll pull your car into the shop to assess what's going on.

Bill and I propose the same strategy when it comes to your marriage.

When we discover the time is ripe for gathering specific tools to gain momentum and develop a marriage mindset, it's a good time for an assessment.  It's also a great time to find others who have gone before you to help encourage and guide you along the way.

We pray you enjoy this episode of Stepfamily Mission POSSIBLE!, and if so, rate and review!

030 - The day after! How to effectively document to achieve results - with Mireille Beumer

In this episode, I talk to Mireille Beumer, an engineer by training and facilitator by passion and profession. In her different roles, Mireille facilitates the process of knowledge transfer between people. And, she trains facilitators to master the skill.

On the show, we speak about the nitty-gritty bits of workshop documentation. The day after the workshop is the most difficult and most neglected one. What can we do to make it easy for groups and for workshop sponsors to keep the momentum and to follow up? Mireille shares valuable advice on what it takes to effectively capture the outcomes so that they translate into action.

You will learn how to "write" workshop minutes that catch the recipient's attention. And Mireille shares how you can get the participants to create their own documentation in an effective and fun way!

Do you want to know why you don't need a gym when working with Mireille? Then, stay tuned until the end and keep your pen and notebook ready: you'll surely need it!
