Everybody’s Human: A Message That Every Entrepreneur Should Keep Close to Heart

Everybody’s Human: A Message That Every Entrepreneur Should Keep Close to Heart

I haven’t taken a business trip in what felt like ages. But recently, I went up to Boise for this event, and it was exactly what I needed.

I attended a Russell Brunson event, and I witnessed something that inspired me to do this episode.

The seminar was great. I was locked up in my own house for so long, working all day, and I needed something to break out of that routine.

Not only did it provide me with a reset I desperately needed, but it was such a relief to see that other people were going through the same things I was. And in that, I found a great sense of camaraderie and belonging. Still, it’s not exactly what I wanted to talk to you about today.

At one point, we were all asked to share our thoughts and impressions. And this lady came up to the microphone and started crying. But when she explained what she felt - it was super clear to me.

It’s something I experienced a long time ago, but a lesson I still keep very close to my heart. A message I turn to whenever self-doubt starts to show its ugly face.

    Everybody’s human.

Today, I’m going to share some of my deepest thoughts on this subject, and I hope my words find you well.

    Key Takeaways:

    - Everybody’s human - a message to all entrepreneurs (0:00)

    - My first business trip in a very long time (2:20)

    - An important lesson I learned at an early age (what A-Rod taught me…) (7:41)

    - What happens when you focus on what you’re doing and ignore the rest? (11:51)

    - We all get scared, we all fight insecurities... (15:13)

    - A moment from the event in Boise that shocked me (17:41)

    - How to become an expert (anyone can do this!) (21:44)

    - Lessons learned from playing golf (25:00)

    - A really powerful way to reset (32:15)

Don’t Burn Out On Your Business: The Benefits of Taking a Step Back and Pushing the Reset Button

Don’t Burn Out On Your Business: The Benefits of Taking a Step Back and Pushing the Reset Button

Today, I want to say a few words about burnout and how to prevent it.

In modern society, even more so online, there’s plenty of talk about success and what it takes to get there. And I feel like many people are putting a lot of pressure on themselves.

Pushing yourself to be better isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But if you’re constantly working your butt off and giving it all you’ve got, you may find yourself on a path to burnout. And that path is a slippery slope, my friends.

Here’s why I’m telling you all this. It’s normal to want to take a break. And if you’ve got that hustle mindset, chances are you’re going to feel guilty about it.

And if that’s you reading this right now - stop it! Cut yourself some slack!

The reason why I’m telling you all of this is because it’s something I’ve been dealing with myself recently. Even after everything I’ve achieved, being OK with pressing pause and taking a step back is something I really struggle with.

So for this episode, I’m going to share my thoughts on preventing burnout and the value of pushing the reset button from time to time.

    I hope this helps!

    Key Takeaways:

    - Why is taking a moment to reset so vital (1:13)

    - Feeling guilty when not working (2:27)

    - You need to enjoy the journey (2:55)

    - How does taking a step back help your business? (4:00)

    - You get one shot at this! (4:55)

    - Helping people is great, but you need to take care of yourself too (5:54)

    - How taking a break helped me understand my business better (6:58)

Kohl’s - Amazon Deal [Pt. 2]: How to Create Amazing Biz Dev Deals for YOUR Online Business

For this week’s episode, we dive further into the world of biz dev deals and consider some of the best practices from the online world.

Strategic partnerships aren’t just for huge brands such as Amazon and Kohl’s. They can happen between any two businesses.

The only condition is everybody needs to win.

Last week, I went over the four simple steps for conducting a killer biz dev deal. Today, I will use that framework to analyze some of the best-known names in the online industry and discuss their process.

We’ll learn from the greats as we review some recent deals made by Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, and Russell Brunson.

Remember - ANYONE can do these types of deals!

You just need to get a little creative and think outside the box. Know what you have to offer, and understand how you can use it to help others.

Now let’s dive in! There’s a ton of stuff we need to cover!

    Key Takeaways:

    - The number one thing I value in business (1:12)

    - How coaches benefit from podcasting (Relationship Coach example) (2:29)

    - Why you shouldn’t be afraid to share details from your offer (6:01)

Kohl’s - Amazon Deal [Pt. 1]: The Art of an Incredible Biz Dev Deal & the 4-step Framework Behind It

Kohl’s - Amazon Deal [Pt. 1]: The Art of an Incredible Biz Dev Deal & the 4-step Framework Behind It

The best way to understand another company’s customer journey is to go through it yourself.

I recently had to return a package I received from Amazon. But it turns out sometimes even the most seemingly mundane tasks can become a memorable experience. At least for business geeks such as myself.

Apparently, you can return stuff from Amazon without paying for shipping, but only if you send it through Kohl’s. And just by taking that little extra step, I witnessed an incredibly powerful business deal. First-hand, from the perspective of the consumer.

Even as I was going through the process, I immediately recognized the benefits for everyone - customers included.

Whenever I encounter this kind of strategic thinking, it truly makes me smile. After all, it’s one of the main reasons I love business so much. And biz dev deals such as this one helped me get to where I am today.

So for this week’s episode, I will reverse engineer this Kohl’s-Amazon partnership and share a simple 4-step framework for creating fantastic biz dev deals.

    I hope you enjoy it!

    Key Takeaways:

    - What I went through trying to return a package to Amazon (1:02)

    - How Kohl’s managed to upsell me (3:54)

    - Reverse engineering the Kohl’s-Amazon deal (6:23)

    - What makes this an excellent deal for Kohl’s? (8:05)

    - How to track customer behavior offline (10:14)

    - The 4 steps to an incredible biz dev deal (13:13)

How Has Defining My Legacy Helped Me Grow My Performance Marketing Business?

How Has Defining My Legacy Helped Me Grow My Performance Marketing Business?

What do you want your legacy to be?

I recorded this episode on February 5th, which is a very meaningful day for me. It’s my mom’s birthday.

My mom passed away in 2003 at the age of 54 after losing a battle with melanoma cancer.

On her birthday, I get messages from friends and family, and it’s a chance for all of us to think back and reminisce about all the great memories we’ve created together.

Even though she’s no longer with us, my mom is still a very important part of my life and my family’s lives. The impact she made on the world will continue to resonate for many years to come.

And it got me thinking about the importance of legacy.

My #1 Secret About Leads: A 14-Day Email Sequence Framework That Converts Leads Into Sales

My #1 Secret About Leads: A 14-Day Email Sequence Framework That Converts Leads Into Sales

Today we’re going to talk about a key step in using leads to build and grow your business.

In recent weeks, we’ve discussed why leads are so crucial for every business. However, lots of people still struggle to set up a system that works.

And here’s the number one reason why they fail. It’s because they didn’t put in the time to build a relationship with their list.

When you’re dealing with cold leads, you NEVER lead with a sale. You can’t expect people will give you money when they know nothing about you or your business.

A few might but most of them won’t.

This is why nurturing your list is so important and why the true power of leads lies in the follow-up.

For this week, I’m going to share a 14-day email sequence framework that will help you warm up those leads, nurture them, build a relationship, and finally, convert them into sales.

Make sure to watch all the way through because I’m also going to share a little secret about a project I’m currently working on.
