In this episode, I sit down with Felix and Josiah who are graduate students off the shore of their countries. We discussed their first experiences and their journey towards education in Turkey and United States. They also gave strong insight to difference of individualism and collectivism society and how to respect those differences. You don't want to miss this episode.

As we end another cycle of a U.S. election, we are all feeling like we’ve had enough. The split between the country during this election cycle was palpable. In this episode, Dr. Rubin and Dr. Pete define and compare the values of individualism (dominant in the U.S.) and collectivism (often dominant in eastern cultures and traditions). They discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each value, and their perspectives on how individualism might explain some current voter behavior.

"Here's the Deal." There are certain things that are coming true in our lifetime. The term '"Christian" is almost unrecognizable and our kids are susceptible to abuse even in supposedly Christian organizations. 

• The Ecumenical Movement is pure evil. The Australian government has lost its collective mind, turning on its own residents for their free expression. 
• The Middle East is still heating up. 
• The mainstream media is 99% '#FakeNews. The other 1% is accounted for when they run their station identification info. 
• Young people everywhere are embracing a Marxist ideology and have no clue of its history and its dim and miserable future and they are being fueled by dark forces who want their submission. 
• However, we know that all of these things must happen before the Lord returns so we will continue to bear witness to the truth until such time that we too, are banned from the airwaves and/or arrested. 

Even so, the Lord reminds us "Do Not Fear" and we shall not, as we know that despite how dark the times may look, there is a glorious light awaiting at the end of the tunnel.

Juneteenth is a holiday that celebrates Black freedom including the concept of black people freeing themselves (sorry, not sorry white saviors). In this episode, we draw from the energy of our ancestors to address the following points:

1. In what ways are we freeing ourselves now as it relates our relationships with money and time trauma.
2. We discuss how our economy (i.e. credit) was created and continues to uphold racism
3. We share how we’ve pushed back against the individualistic ways (aka pull yourself from your bootstraps) that dismiss how 400 years of antiblackness has impacted our ability to  secure the bag
4. We share how we’re being afrofuturistic/experimental in our approach to freeing the bag collectively, the ways our ancestors taught us to get free

Tensions are rising around the world as government lock-down encroaches on the freedoms many of us had otherwise taken for granted. The widespread desire to leave the house and resume life, has caused some of us to question if our contemporary idea of 'freedom' is problematic.

In today's episode we welcome researcher and philosopher Hamza King to discuss his latest article for ResPublica, as well as other social crises exacerbated by our social and political reactions to COVID-19 pandemic.
