The Science of Horniness from Come As You Are with Dr. Emily Nagoski

Today, I’m sharing a preview of a new podcast I’m enjoying and think you will, too. On Come As You Are, educator and bestselling author Dr. Emily Nagoski answers questions about sex with the latest science. You’ll get a modern guide to sexual wellbeing, backed by groundbreaking research about desire, anatomy, orgasm and much more. In conversation with her producer, Emily debunks cultural myths and flips the script on everything you thought you knew about sex and sexuality. In this preview, Emily answers a listener question about losing the motivation to have sex and introduces us to a concept known as the "dual control model,” which offers a simple but radical shift in the way we think about horniness. 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: My Engaged Storyism® Method at Work

60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: My Engaged Storyism® Method at Work

Hello to you listening in Twisp, Washington!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.

The revolution begins at home. If you overthrow yourself again and again, you might earn the right to help overthrow the rest of us.”  [~ Rob Brezsny]

How do we overthrow ourselves? By engaging with our own story to transform the superficial to authentic.

My Engaged Storyism® Method invites you to leave behind the mere telling of story lines we habitually parrot to delve deep into feelings, sensations, emotions, images, and experiences with compassion, insight and humor. When we engage with our story we practice authentic communication with ourselves. When we learn how to authentically communicate with ourselves, we can use those tools to authentically communicate our message, values, story, truth with others - and invite them to be seen, heard, understood, and listened to by us.

Curious? Come as you are and change with me inside Quarter Moon Story Arts.

Denn "Come as you are" heißt keineswegs – wie wörtlich übersetzt – komm, wie Du bist, sondern setzt mindestens einen Anzug voraus.

John Burke Interviewed on Hill Country Institute Live
"If the Church is not seeing people go from lost to leading; if we can't see that happening, then the reality is the Church is dying. It may take 70 years, but it's going to die." We have to be about loving people as Christ loved them - where they are but helping them not stay as they are. John Burke, lead pastor of Gateway Church in Austin, Texas, talked with Larry on Hill Country Institute Live about the importance of Christ's followers being on mission with Him every day, wherever they are. Having perfect apologetics and eloquently convincing arguments is not what people in this Post-Christian culture are looking for. It's not about the message we present or the reasons we give; it's about our attitude towards people that woos them. "People can intuitively sense how we feel about them, and that actually makes the biggest difference of all."
