3 - FOLKLORE: Meet the “SIMPLES” in this Folklore

In a quest for connection, Dr. Apples, a child wise beyond his years, ventures into the ordinary world of the local children. He soon befriends Eugene, whose charming quirks and invitation to a home gathering give Dr. Apples a chance to fit in. But his desires to conform are tested when he witnesses unsettling culinary practices at Eugene's house, forcing him to question the complacency of those around him. Amidst the horrors of booger-infused batters and the drudgery of their mundane routines, Dr. Apples grapples with his own convictions. Will he settle for the familiar or dare to demand more from life?

OCT5: One Final Teen Horror Movie

OCT5: One Final Teen Horror Movie

Consider this your official count down to Halloween with a special series of mini-sodes. Get a daily dose of horror with Tracy & Minki every day in October as they both talk about one film that they consider to be the best in each sub-genre >> It's tough being a teenager sometimes. Nobody listens to you. Nobody understands you. And when you're getting plucked off one by one in a horror movie, nobody seems to give a $#!T. In the films discussed today, teens just don't stand a chance against evil and death.

    EP 13: RAW (2016)

    EP 13: RAW (2016)

Have you ever been so disgusted by a horror movie you passed out or vomited? Doubtful. But, apparently this cannibal, coming-of-age, horror drama made people do just that. So, Tracy and Minki had to make a trip to the theater and check it out. Given they got away without puking up their chicken tenders and tater tots, they think it was just PR, but they still enjoyed this french flick anyhow. They run through a bunch of movies that had the same reputation of needing a barf bag in lieu of a popcorn bag and they both share a couple of movie scenes that, at the very least, left a personal memory of total discomfort for them. So, if you don’t like reading subtitles and/or if you don’t think you can watch a young girl eat raw meat, take a few bites out of a couple people, or get her bikini waxed from a very close view, you should probably just listen to the hosts talk about it all instead. And if you don’t want them to spoil it, go check out this beautifully directed movie first and then come back and share in the discussion. Have an opinion about the movie...episode...podcast...Minki’s voice? Write us!

    Boyhood

    Boyhood
The making of this film is unlike any other: director Richard Linklater and his stars convened annually over the span of twelve years to make a movie about a boy growing into a man. The sheer scope and complexity of the project is enormous, but it was completed when Boyhood hit theaters in 2014. But with all the behind-the-scenes complexity, was the final film worth it? Join Stuart, Jakob, and Arnie in this review to find out!
