151 - Why I Support Donald Trump [EXPLAINED]

151 - Why I Support Donald Trump [EXPLAINED]

In this episode, and in the spirit of my new Facebook group on communication, I will talk about my support for Donald Trump and why I do it. Before you go and unsubscribe, block, or send me hate mail, I ask you to hear my side of things first and know that I am not trying to convince you to support Donald Trump or vote for him.

There is no denying that Donald Trump is controversial. Say his name, and you are either met with cheers of support, or roars of hatred and disgust, but I’ll explain and clarify my view on him because there's been a lot of miscommunication around where I stand on him. Even if you don't agree with me, which you don't have to, I hope this will make you can understand and at least have a truthful, honest conclusion about why I'm at where I'm at.

I believe that if you can communicate well, you can have just about anything you want in life, and this episode is a perfect example of communicating your side of the issues, so I hope that at the end of it all, you’ll have seen the power of communication. Stay tuned.

150 - This Guy Climbed Mt. Everest (And The Tallest Mountain On EVERY Continent)

In this episode, I interview David Mauro, an incredible man who climbed the tallest mountain in every continent. When he was in his forties, his life hit rock bottom. With nothing to lose, he left everything he knew behind and set out on an epic international adventure.

For the next seven years, Dave trudged across glaciers, frozen wastelands and through dense, dangerous forests. He communed with penguins and elephants, kept company with cannibals and gunrunners, and spoke with the dead.

Though he’d never been a climber, he ended up joining history’s courageous few when he ascended into the clouds to stand at the summit of Mt Everest, and he comes on to share that entire 7-year journey, and all that it taught him.

    Key Points Discussed:

Ep #4 Dr. Janine Sagert - Military Veterans, PTSD, Psychedelics, Mental Illness in America, Meditation, Yoga and Indian Ashrams, & Deep Consciousness.

Ep #4 Dr. Janine Sagert - Military Veterans, PTSD, Psychedelics, Mental Illness in America, Meditation, Yoga and Indian Ashrams, & Deep Consciousness.

Our guest today is Janine Sagert – intrepid consciousness explorer, film producer, a corporate consultant for some of the largest and most influential companies in America, and a life-long social justice and military veterans advocate.

Our conversation today covers a wide spectrum of cutting edge, paradigm-shifting issues. We discuss her long history living and working with military veterans, the use of psychedelics to successfully treat mental illness and PTSD, the future of mental health in America, her early adoption of meditative practices and yogic techniques in the corporate consulting she pioneered in the mid-1970s, to her favorite ashram in India where she retreats every year.

Her distinctive life has uniquely equipped her to tell the story of combat veterans suffering from suicidal PTSD and their transformative healing journeys with psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and medical marijuana. This is the story which is told in the highly acclaimed documentary film, From Shock to Awe which she co-produced with the award-winning cinematographer, Luc Cote, and Kevin Krause. Her remarkable life and cutting-edge achievements embody an uncommon blend of academic and professional education, research, training, and personal on the ground experience with deep spirituality — as well as a huge heart and indomitable spirit.

Commenting on what prompted her to take on a project of this magnitude she said, "It broke my heart to learn that so many of our veterans are experiencing PTSD and that most of them are not getting relief from their suffering. Twenty-two veteran suicides a day! This is truly a national disgrace. I had to do something to help, especially knowing that in the course of my life I had accumulated the skills, experience, and knowledge to do so."

Janine is a modern-day polymath and a polyglot who speaks five languages, (Spanish, Marathi, Hindi, German, and English) and world traveler, her own backstory provides many points of connection and empathy with military veterans. Janine is a self-described “army brat” who grew up on military bases around the world. She's a psychologist whose extensive academic career focused on clinical psychology and anthropology and how various elements of culture influence mental health. Her profoundly transformative experiences with psychedelics, lead her to a lifelong dedication to exploring and expanding her own consciousness through spiritual practices such as self-inquiry and meditation. Going where precious few Western women have gone, she traveled more times than she can remember to India and remote areas in the Himalayas to live and study with a variety of yogis and mystics, further deepening her direct experience of higher states of consciousness.

Academically, Dr. Sagert earned a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, in “Culture and Mental Health” with a specialty in Altered States of Consciousness and Psychological Resilience. She also spent two years as part of a Harvard University School of Public Health research team investigating stress factors around the world.

Professionally, she founded Time Out, Inc. in 1976 and subsequently provided pioneering consulting and coaching services to a wide spectrum of organizations in the areas of stress management, leadership, and optimal performance. She conducted more than 1,000 seminars and coached more than 500 executives in companies throughout the U. S., Europe, and Asia.

This is a remarkably candid conversation with an incredibly down-to-earth and compassionate person who has a life-long career of pioneering consciousness work that has changed the way we look at ourselves and how we live and work with each other in the world. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.

He literally went from drugs, alcohol, and being an all F student, to becoming a multi-talented entrepreneur who has personally closed over 400 local business clients, sold $7 Million in revenue so far, and is the driving force behind several coaching programs for emerging entrepreneurs.

If you’ve ever wondered what the difference between "God" and "Source" are, or if/why profanity is "wrong" (or is it?), or what the problems with America are (and how to fix them?), then this episode is perfect for you, because Nik will be sharing all his insights on those subjects. 137 - Cash Is Trash - Instead Of Saving A Lot & Spending A Little, Do This Instead.

In this episode, I’m going to share everything I’ve learned about money from the likes of Brad Gibb and Grant Cardone. Our relationship with money and how we view money ultimately determines not only what we can be able to do with money, but also what we do with our money.

    Key Points Discussed:

    • Cash is trash and cash flow is everything: Where to focus on (03:26)
    • Money amplifies what's there in every aspect (06:24)

    • Money can only amplify something that it affects (20:56)
    • The importance of emotionally detaching ourselves from our money (22:25)
    • Investing and spending money on things that will produce cash flow for you (29:02)
    • Cash flow is the lifeblood of our goals and dreams (35:54)
