Russell Woo Ran Away to Join the Circus

Russell Woo Ran Away to Join the Circus

Today we talk with Russell Woo, whose creativity and talents often find him airborne as he literally ran away to join the circus.   We discover in today's episode that the circus is only the beginning.  Yes, he's a talented aerialist who performs breathtaking acrobatics on trapeze and silks streamers high above the stage and you'll learn soon about his plans to play piano and weave tales while both he and the piano are suspended midair.  He's also classically trained dancer and pianist, and the piano work during our breaks today is all Russell.  He still consults with businesses, but finds a way to use creativity into his work as  he uses story telling to help corporations to better understand  their various perdicaments.   He’s been innovative and has created all his life and although there have been a few fits and starts with striking a balance between a professional and creative life, he's quite adept at grabbing all the strings of and flying - multiple kites.

    Brett Ratten

    Brett Ratten

Brett Ratten, former AFL player and now head coach, talks openly about the death of his son Cooper in a tragic car accident five years ago.

As well as the support he has received from his workplaces and friends.

One story that sticks out in particular from the conversation is how St.Kilda F.C. provided a very special moment for Brett in early 2020.

Support immediately after the event is very important but Brett discusses the importance of the ongoing support for anyone who's lost a loved one.

He offers advice to people who are grieving and some perspective on how the little things can make such a big difference.

[REPLAY] 59 - The Other Side Makes You Smarter

[REPLAY] 59 - The Other Side Makes You Smarter

In this episode, I’m going to talk about how important it is to appreciate other people’s views and beliefs whenever we are having an argument or debate about a topic that we are passionate about. Seeing the other side of an argument that you believe in, does not make you weak, and I used to think that it did, but it actually makes you smarter, and it makes you a more well rounded person.

It ensures that you can have an intelligent conversation with people, and enables you to convince them of what you believe.

    Key Points Discussed:

    • How we change in life is important (02:07)
    • Reading books can positively impact your life (06:52)
    • Pride diminishes your ability to appreciate other people’s views (11:28)
    • Accommodating other people’s beliefs (17:26)

155 - 2019 In Review - The Most Mentally Challenging Year Of My Life. (Shock, Searching, And New Beginnings)

155 - 2019 In Review - The Most Mentally Challenging Year Of My Life. (Shock, Searching, And New Beginnings)

In this episode, I will do a really detailed recap of 2019 and talk about all that has happened since the beginning of the year, what I went through, what I have learned, and how it has all made me a different person for the better. From my brother dying, to selling my business, to my Facebook getting deleted mid-launch, to going on a world trip and having to cancel it, I have experienced just about every range of emotion imaginable.

I'm going to share with you my biggest wins, my biggest losses, and my biggest takeaways by breaking down the year into three phases. I started the year on a high note by launching company and podcast, attending the 10X Growth Con, celebrating my birthday, and was super stoked when the New England Patriots won their sixth Super Bowl with Tom Brady getting his sixth ring. I also went down to Nashville to speak at a Pre-Funnel Hacking Live event and it’s about two weeks after that my brother Kyle passed away in a freak helicopter crash over in Kenya.

The pain and loss that I experienced from that made me feel so lost and I started to question everything about life. That led me to take time away from my business and my partner was very gracious in covering for me. I started studying God, religion, and philosophy while also getting therapy to cope with it all. Fast forward a few months and I had gone through and overcome so much, and was on a world trip with my girlfriend but had to cancel it and return home because my girlfriend had to get some urgent medical attention.

It was a rough and bumpy year, but the lessons I have learned have been super valuable, and I hope that the biggest takeaway for you will be the fact that we are all really in control of our lives even when everything seems out of control. So join me in this emotional roller coaster episode, and I promise you that it will help you prepare for the new year ahead.

    Key Points Discussed:

    • The most brutal, mentally challenging curve ball, and unexpected year of Josh’s life (01:17)
    • An expected season of change and focus that was so horribly disrupted (10:58)
    • The moment when the core of everything shook (14:04)
    • Having a choice in how we respond to things even though we don’t choose what happens to us (26:15)
    • Selling the business that was the core of his identity and leaving his comfort zone to travel the world (31:23)
    • Making things right with everybody and fixing all the vices (35:56)
    • Getting a sense of direction from teaching and educating others (46:51)
    • Developing a passion for helping people and sharing the power of communication (52:40)
    • From having an amazing Facebook group in the middle of an amazing launch to nothing (58:42)
    • Facing a challenging mental game but choosing to stay positive (01:01:15)
    • The freaky intestinal parasite that caused the world trip cancellation (01:04:19)
    • The 25 takeaways that will change your life for the better (01:09:54)
    • The singlehandedly greatest asset in life that we have (01:16:21)

[REPLAY] 27 - Understanding How Your Mind Works (It Is 99.9999% Not Real!)

In this episode, I'm going to dive into the subject of Quantum Physics. Stay with me, I promise this is relatable. In fact, it's probably the most important topic I've covered so far on this podcast because it’s so misunderstood and will totally change your mindset on life once you can grasp the concept.

I've researched the topic of Quantum Physics a lot lately and I want to break down this complex topic into simple terms to show you how it works and how it impacts your life. We are going to talk about how Subatomic particles are everywhere and nowhere. How we are 99.9999% energy and only 0.0001% physical... and how this affects our minds and who we are.

I’ll then show you how to set up for success in 2020 by sharing exactly what I'm doing and how specifically you can apply that to go and crush it in 2020. Enjoy!

153 - Funnel Hacking Live + How To Build A Successful Brand With Loyal Customers

153 - Funnel Hacking Live + How To Build A Successful Brand With Loyal Customers

In this episode, I will talk about Clickfunnels, Russell Brunson, Funnel Hacking Live, and how they all relate to how to successfully build a brand and customer loyalty in business. I’m crazy about Clickfunnels, so crazy that I’m flying in all the way from London, and shorting my world trip, just to make it to Funnel Hacking Live, and I want to share how I just recently realised why I’m so crazy about it.

I will start off the episode by describing our trip to the Philippines, and the fun stuff we’ve been doing there. The most unforgettable experience will be on this little island, so little that you can get around the whole island in a moped within less than 2 hours. I’ll talk about what it was like recording this episode from there, how I have been banned from Facebook, and the upcoming Funnel Hacking Live event.

To my disappointment, a lot of you guys haven’t yet bought their tickets to Funnel Hacking Live, despite knowing how Clickfunnels fundamentally changed my life, and how critical it could be to your success in business. I’ll talk about all that and remind you how great Clickfunnels is, and the impact that attending Funnel Hacking Live will have on your life, so listen in, and I promise in the end you’ll have gained more valuable insight than you need to go buy your ticket.

    Key Points Discussed:

    • The runway with no lights on it and flying in the old school propeller plane (01:55)
    • The announcement of the three keynote speakers at Funnel Hacking Live (05:17)
    • How Clickfunnels and Russell Brunson made me my first six figures online (11:09)
    • The power of building a brand and how to build it (15:03)
    • Nike and Jordan products in the most remote and poorest place in the world (21:29)
    • How we emotionally invest ourselves when we spend money on a brand (23:33)
    • Surviving, building a brand and succeeding by selling and communicating (31:40)
