KobiCo: A Remarkable Journey in Self-Care, Entrepreneurship, and Giving Back

KobiCo: A Remarkable Journey in Self-Care, Entrepreneurship, and Giving Back

This episode features an interview with Kobi Gregory and Tasha Harris, the mother-daughter duo behind KobiCo, a unique candle company that combines scents with curated playlists. I simply love the elements of self-care, entrepreneurship, and giving back in their story. Kobi and Tasha share how KobiCo was founded during the challenges of 2020, with Kobi initially wanting to fund a college tour. The candles, each accompanied by a playlist, became a therapeutic outlet for Kobi during quarantine, addressing her mental health struggles. Tasha, having recently left a corporate career, joined forces with Kobi, and together, they navigated the challenges of running a business while emphasizing the importance of self-care. This episode highlights their journey, challenges, and the unexpected joy KobiCo brings, not only to customers but also to the mother-daughter team.

    Transcript:

We'll cover how to navigate work-life balance, foster health, happiness, and freedom in your entrepreneurial journey by discussing insights on boundaries at work. So, you're on an entrepreneurial journey, huh? Well, let me tell you. It's not all rainbows and unicorns, my friend. But don't worry, we've got some insights on boundaries at work that are gonna blow your mind. Picture this! You're trying to balance work and life, and it's like walking a tightrope while juggling flaming torches. Sounds fun, right? Yeah, not so much. We've got strategies to help you navigate that crazy work-life balance and avoid any major meltdowns. First up, fostering health. Because let's face it, you can't conquer the world if you're sick or burned out. So, make sure you're taking care of yourself, eating those leafy greens, and getting enough 'Zzz's'. And hey, don't forget to squeeze in some exercise too. You'll thank me later. Next on the list, happiness. They say happy employees are productive employees, or something like that. So, find what makes you happy, whether it's blasting your favorite tunes while you work or taking dance breaks in between meetings. Embrace the joy, my friend. And last but not least, freedom. As an entrepreneur, you've got the power to create your own schedule and do things your way. So, don't be afraid to set those boundaries and carve out time for yourself. Remember, you're the boss here. So there you have it, my aspiring entrepreneur. With these strategies, you'll conquer those work-life boundaries like a boss and live your best life. Now go out there and show 'em what you're made of.

So, why should you care about work-life balance? Well, it's not just some trendy buzzword or fluffy concept. No. This is the real deal. You see, finding that sweet spot between work and life is crucial if you want to live your best life. And let me emphasize, we all want to live our best lives, don't we? Of course, we do! Now, picture this: You're a successful entrepreneur, making money, achieving big things, and living the dream. But guess what? If you don't have work-life balance, that dream can quickly turn into a nightmare. Yikes! Achieving work-life balance is like the secret sauce to entrepreneurial success. It's like that one magical ingredient that takes your life from average to extraordinary. It's the difference between being stressed out and overwhelmed or being focused and fulfilled. But wait, there's more! Work-life balance isn't just about boosting your entrepreneurial success. Oh no, my friend. It's about enhancing your overall quality of life. Think about it. Would you rather be slaving away at your work 24/7 or actually have time to enjoy the fruits of your labor? I know I'd choose the latter. And let's not forget about happiness and health. Work-life balance is like the superhero that swoops in and saves the day. Studies have shown that when you have a balanced life, you're happier, healthier, and just all-around more awesome. Who doesn't want that? So, imagine this: You're living a life where you have time for your passions and hobbies, time for the people you love, and yes, even time for yourself. It's like living in a magical land where unicorns frolic and rainbows shine all day long. Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point. So, my friend, if you're still wondering why work-life balance matters, let me sum it up for you. It's the foundation of genuine happiness, abundant health, and freedom. It's the key that… https://www.davidether.me

We need to talk about the friendship gap.

We need to talk about the friendship gap.

Today we’re talking about “The Friendship Gap" aka the period between meeting a person and feeling like it’s become a friendship.

A study found that the average adult needs to spend 50 hours of time with a person to consider them a casual friend.

If you haven’t crossed The Friendship Gap just yet, don’t give up on this blossoming friendship. There are also ways to lubricate the process and we’re going to take you through them.

giving and receiving feedback in friendships, work & more!

How do you best receive feedback? Probably a question you’re used to when you’re interviewing for a job, but it’s also good to think about how you receive feedback when communicating with friends and family! Tori & Chanel are super supportive when it comes to giving and receiving feedback - it’s all part of the Glad We Talked mind-set, so they decided to share their thoughts in this episode. Whether you’re straight and to the point, like Tori, or need some positive reinforcement, like Chanel, the two talk about how they best respond to feedback (or not!). Plus, the girls share a few communication and feedback tips they've learned from therapy and the working world.

Beyond Genetics: How Environment Shapes Our Well-being

Beyond Genetics: How Environment Shapes Our Well-being
Hey there, fellow entrepreneurs! In my latest podcast episode with the insightful Dr. Binta Jalloh, we explored how technology and advancements in science can transform our lives for the better. We delved into the fascinating world of epigenetics, where we discovered the undeniable link between science, spirituality, and the energies between humans and our environment. 🌱 We discussed the importance of paying attention to our environment and its impact on our health, as well as the concept of healthy and unhealthy stress. 💪🧠 Stress, my friends, is the number one cause of disease and cancer. But fear not! We discovered ways to identify and manage stress, ensuring a healthy epigenetic imprint. And here's a mind-blowing fact: Genetics alone don't determine our fate! It's our environment that holds the key. We explored the power of epigenetics, where genes can be turned on or off based on factors like diet, lifestyle, and experiences. 🧬❌🧬 So, fellow entrepreneurs, let's remember that our health is the ultimate wealth. Let's focus on creating a positive environment for ourselves, from the physical spaces we inhabit to the people we surround ourselves with. Let's embrace the power of epigenetics and unlock the full potential within us! 💪🚀 #Epigenetics #EntrepreneurLife #UnlockYourPotential

E69: IYCS-Audio Flash Files #14 "Compromise How You Give and Receive with Coworkers and Classmates"

14th InvisiYouth Chat Sessions: Audio Flash Files gives you a boost of life advice and perspectives that’ll provide empowering tools you can practically incorporate into your life for more success and joy.

We’re honing in on the relationship and communication with your coworkers and classmates. It’s all about utilizing compromise in different strategies in order to optimize your professional and academic relationships because they are settings and people that evolve with time and spend a lot of your time with in life.

When you think about spending a third of your life at work, and over 10% of your life in school, that’s a lot of time just being with coworkers and classmates, so you gotta strengthen your way of communicating with this group of people. We explain what makes this outer layer of relationship different to work on improving than others and why the work-from-home/online class structure can be tailored to optimize communication. The steps are given for you to make sure that both parties mutually give and receive information and support one another’s end goals by compromising on matters that’ll optimize your success in academic and professional settings. Plus, you’ll be able to utilize compromise on a personal level—in independently choosing what details about yourself you want/need to share—with the interactive level—in working with your coworkers and classmates on how they can mutually compromise on this two-way street so they can support you in an equal way to still productively get things done.

And founder Dominique gives the life story about how she got to utilize InvisiYouth’s Compromise Avenue Theory so she could create a better strength and growth in the dynamic with coworkers so going to the office went from strength to strength.

Let's get talking and  make your relationship with your classmates and coworkers one of ease, success, joy, and always add your type of chatting style and compromise skills to the forefront so productivity thrives along with your health’s wellbeing!
