Nick May | Pro Painter Network

Title: Nick May | Pro Painter Network

In 1999 Nick May started a painting business, Walls by Design, and over the years he has worked with a lot of interior designers. Many of them have been good designers, but often time, their business skills were a bit lacking. In 2013, Nick started a series of live events in Denver with a handful of companies to educated designers on the business of interior design. They would host lunch and learns and bring in a speaker. His hope was to help them grow their businesses and in turn, they might use Walls by Design for their painting needs.

In 2014, Nick married this idea with another passion of mine...podcasting. He launched ‘The Chaise Lounge Podcast’ with the hopes to expand his impact on the interior design community nationally. Little did Nick know that they would soon be downloaded and listened to in over 100 countries and become one of the top interior design podcasts on iTunes.

In 2016, he was asked to start covering markets and live events for interior designers… The Chaise Lounge hit the road! This has to lead to increased exposure and network into the larger interior design community, and he has now interviewed some of the biggest names in interior design.

Amelia Earhart | Creating A Flight Plan To Clear Any Goal For Take-Off

Title: Amelia Earhart | Creating A Flight Plan To Clear Any Goal For Take-Off

Amelia Rose Earhart, namesaked after the famed Amelia Mary Earhart who attempted to fly around the world in 1937, is one of the youngest women to fly around the world in a single-engine aircraft. In 2014, Amelia flew a Pilatus PC12-NG 28,000 miles, crossing the equator six times, through fourteen countries to complete a circumnavigation of the globe. Her parents, sharing the Earhart surname, wanted their daughter to have a name that would inspire her to live a life of passion and adventure.

Amelia is the President of the Fly With Amelia Foundation, a non-profit organization that grants flight-training scholarships to young women, aged sixteen to eighteen. The Fly With Amelia Foundation also fosters aviation and aerospace opportunities for people of all ages through aviation-based educational STEM opportunities, in partnership with Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver, CO.

Amelia has been a passionate aviatrix since her first flight lesson at the age of twenty-one, a seeker of all things adventurous, and is an accomplished public speaker, spending the last 8 years working as a television news anchor, covering breaking news, traffic, and weather in Denver and Los Angeles. Amelia was given the Amelia Earhart Pioneering Achievement Award in 2013 and in 2014 was named by the Jaycees as one of the "Top Ten Young Americans".
