5 Things holding You Back From Becoming a Damp Proofer

5 Things holding You Back From Becoming a Damp Proofer

Join Damp Sam as he shares the 5 things that are holding you back from becoming a qualified damp proofer in today’s insightful episode of the Damp Show. Discover why the ‘new applicator system’ for damp proofing is fast, efficient and cost-effective, the details of structuring a trade guarantee and why there’s a huge opportunity in the preservation industry.

Get Your FREE E-Book PLUS More Great Content, Courses and Advice @ www.dampsam.com

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • There is a lot of misdiagnosis of damp issues so you must make sure that you’re using the correct damp proofing method to remove mold and fix the source of dampness.

    • Damp proofing requires a guarantee, don’t let this put you off. There are templates that you can use and you can produce your own terms and conditions but it’s important to remember that you will be liable if something in the guarantee goes wrong.

    • The express damp proofing system is the cheapest and most profitable way to damp proof a wall and all of the equipment needed such as applicators, setting boards and creams are easily sourced.

    • There’s a shortage of skilled and qualified workers in the preservation industry and with the right knowledge, an apprentice can provide the same quality of work as a large company but at a much higher profit margin.

    BEST MOMENTS
“The best way to learn is to be hands-on and to take a look for yourself.”

“Silicon damp proofing never covered every single brick and if there were any cracks in the bricks the silicon would explode everywhere.”

“With the old method of damp proofing, there were far too many things that could go wrong.”

“The new applicator system can be used for penetrating damp as well.”
