Gary interviews Robert Cruickshank at a recent conference in Virginia Beach. Gary and Robert have known each other for a long time through phone calls and email but had never met personally until this interview. The two discuss how questions they had about what they were reading in the Bible led them to where they are today.

Gary answers a listener question about 2 Peter 3 and the fire language. Will the physical earth and heavens be destroyed in a universal conflagration, or is something else being communicated here? Will God destroy his creation in order to make another one, or will He redeem the existing one? We must read 2 Peter 3 in the context of Peter's first letter, as well as the Old Testament.

The recent passing of Ronald Sider is an opportunity for Gary to tell the sad history of Christian socialism in America. Acts 4-5 is often appealed to as an example of this, but as Gary points out, it was 1) voluntary, and 2) tied to the coming destruction of Jerusalem. Christians must not be manipulated into unproductive mindsets by academic and economic guilt peddlers.

This is the first part of several of an interview that Gary recorded with Rev. Mickey Schneider. Pastor Schneider has been instrumental in many of the important events that have transpired in Reformed Christianity in the last 50 years. He knows everyone and has been everywhere. In many ways, Pastor Schneider helped lead the modern resurgence of Reformed theology while never being its leader.

In the final three chapters of the Bible, Christians are assured of their ultimate victory, but that victory is already a present reality. Jesus has won the victory, Jesus is King... NOW! Christians must live in terms of the present reality of victory, not in some delayed "some day in the future" victory.

A harlot woman is riding the Sea Beast, which is Rome, and she is accused of all sorts of blasphemies and abominations. She is also drunk with the blood of the saints (cf. Matthew 23:34-36). In Chapter 21 of Paradise Restored, David Chilton discusses Revelation 13 and the two Beasts. Futurists often appeal to this passage as proof of an "Antichrist" in the "soon to come" end times. But is it really...?

Futurists claim that events in Bible prophecy are "soon" to happen based on current events. What they fail to point out is that the Bible itself makes the same claim about events in the first century. So who's right? Modern interpreters of the New Testament or the NT writers themselves? In Chapter 18 of Paradise Restored, David Chilton takes the NT writers at their word and shows that the book of Revelation was fulfilled in the cataclysmic events of the first century.

In Chapter 13 of Paradise Restored, David Chilton discusses the biblical understanding of the "last days" and proves, from the Bible itself, that these days have already come and gone. Peter, Paul, the book of Hebrews, and many other New Testament writings make it clear that the "last days" were fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70.

In Chapters 5 and 6 of Paradise Restored, David Chilton discusses the importance, and the biblical theology, of animals, trees, and land. Modern Christianity often has a worldview that more closely resembles Gnosticism, being skeptical of property and physical blessings. But everything God creates and gives to His people are a lesson about how to live and take dominion in God’s world.
