    Voltron Fan Meetup: Social Distancing

    Voltron Fan Meetup: Social Distancing

With the world on pause as a global pandemic calls the shots, we thought we would catch up with some of our fellow Voltron fans and see how they are handling this new world of social distancing. We have reports from other Voltron fans that shared emails with us, as well. Thank you to Zilla, Mel, Lexi, and K-Lionheart for joining us!

We hope all of you are staying safe at home and are able to still connect with your friends and family, remotely.  We know we will all be able to get together sometime soon again, and that maybe the world we return to will be a better world, where we all look out for each other.

    Help Rebuild Han Cholo!

In the spirit of charity and coming together like Voltron, we are asking for your help for our close friends at Han Cholo. In addition to dealing with their store having to close for the pandemic, and their employees having to stay home, we learned that their LA store had been robbed recently. All of their inventory, as well as high-value collectibles and office equipment, had been stolen.  There is no insurance to recoup the losses, so they have opened up a GoFundMe page to help donate to their goal. Here is the link for the donations:

    https://www.gofundme.com/f/han-cholo

Let's Voltron and help Han Cholo reach their goal! We love everyone at Han Cholo and wish you well.

And, to all Voltron Fans around the world, thank you for listening! Please stay safe and stay home until the Earth is safe again for us all to connect! Look out for each other! We love you all!

    VoltCon: Day 1 Recap

    VoltCon: Day 1 Recap

Marc and Greg recap the first day of VoltCon 2019. They go over the event schedule, including 2 panels run by your Let's Voltron Podcast Hosts: Voltron 101 and History of Voltron Toys. Other hot panels included a Franklin Cofod Interview and Jeremy Corray and Bob Koplar, talking about Voltron Force.

This was the first EVER convention dedicated solely to Voltron, in honor of the 35th Anniversary of the first episode of Voltron: Defender of the Universe on TV on September 10, 1984.

Marc and Greg were happy to kick off the festivities even before the opening ceremonies with a Voltron 101 Panel. Our friend, Dani DeWald was so gracious and recorded the whole panel and posted it on YouTube! Go check it out HERE!

After the opening ceremonies, kicked off by VoltCon Organizers Kevin Clark, Patrick and Savannah O'Connor and Ryan Howe, Franklin Cofod (Showrunner/Director for Voltron: Defender of the universe) took the panel stage for an interview, moderated by Patrick.

After that, Marc and Greg took the stage again for the History of Voltron Toys panel.

Following Marc and Greg were Bob Koplar and Jeremy Corray to talk about Voltron Force. This panel answered a lot of fan questions about why Voltron Force did not get a second season, and Voltron fans were told what the future of the Voltron franchise might be.

There were many great vendors in the "Space Mall", including the Voltron Store, and many great cosplayers, wearing many original character designs from their favorite Voltron series.

Join us on our next podcast, where we cover Day 2 of VoltCon and talk to 3 other attendees to form our own VoltCon Voltron.

The first novel is called "Gray Widow's Walk", a grounded sci-fi horror story centering on an Atlanta-based female vigilante, which has just been accepted at Seventh Star Press and is planned as the first in a trilogy.
    3. Gunfire Games have hired Dan as lead writer to create a rich narrative that chronicles one hero's lifelong quest to save his homeland from an evil force. For those of you who have listened to the previous Let's Voltron episodes Dan Jolley has been a part of, you'll know Dan was a principal writer for the video game, Dying Light. Dying Light is an action survival game presented in first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression - but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their nests to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn.

Dying Light can be purchased on 3 different video game platforms:

    1. PC

    2. XBOX One

    3. PlayStation 4

If you do buy it and enjoy the game, please let Dan know. He would love to hear your feedback. You can find Dan Jolley on Twitter @_DanJolley
