    257 - Blow Out (1981)
"The only trouble I ever got into was when I was too careful! For Episode 257, Brandon and David talk about Brian De Palma's masterpiece BLOW OUT. Listen as they discuss Travolta's understated performance, De Palma's direction, and what disaster happened during the film's post-production, almost ruining the movie.   Join our Patreon for More Content: https://www.patreon.com/cinenation Contact Us: Facebook: @cinenation Instagram: @cinenationpodcast Twitter: @CineNationPod TikTok: @cinenation Letterboxd: CineNation Podcast E-mail: cinenationpodcast@gmail.com

Ennio według Tornatore - opowieść o życiu i twórczości Morricone | Maciej Stasierski | AWK, odc. 38

Ennio według Tornatore - opowieść o życiu i twórczości Morricone | Maciej Stasierski | AWK, odc. 38
Accademia Włosiego Kina we współpracy z platformą Watching Closely zapraszają na spotkanie "Ennio według Tornatore" - opowieść o życiu i twórczości kompozytora wszechczasów - Ennio Morricone (1928-2020).

The choice of libation is yours, so choose your poison accordingly… Alright, now for the game part how about every time I say Murder that will be a single shot and every time I say Satanism, that will be a double shot. Now that the business end is out of the way we can jump headfirst into today’s dark enigma… so pull out the extra creepy for today’s show as we dive deep into Satanism Witchcraft and the Mysterious Murder of Jeanette DePalma

History is rife with unsolved murders. For whatever reasons, some doomed souls seem destined to never rest and for the mysterious, often baffling circumstances surrounding their deaths to forever taunt us. Few such cases are as bizarre, or indeed as spooky, as one largely forgotten cold case over 40 years old that started off strange and didn’t let up, spiraling into the dark realm of witchcraft, Satanism, sinister rituals, and secrecy.

The story begins with a dog. On September 19, 1972, in Springfield, NJ, a dog returned to its owner with something far more gruesome than a stick in its mouth. To the owner’s shock, the animal was carrying around the decomposed remains of a human hand and forearm in its jaws. The authorities were contacted right away and began a search with bloodhounds of the nearby Houdaille quarry, which was in a wooded area where the dog’s owner claimed it liked to roam around. It was not long before the rest of the arm’s body was found sprawled atop a wooded bluff in the quarry that had the rather foreboding name of “The Devil’s Teeth,” since the rocks jutting up from the ground gave the impression of jagged teeth in a skull.
