    Our guest started his career by serving ten years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a long-range reconnaissance operator. Serving in various operational roles, he specialized in NBCR (Nuclear, Biological, Chemicals, and Radiological). Using his specialization, Martin transitioned his skills to Nuclear Emergency Preparedness and Response for Health Canada where he started his civilian career. 
     
    One of Martin’s key accomplishments was when he was engaged by the French Government to lead the development, staging, and facilitation of the FRANZ (France, Australia, and New Zealand) International Humanitarian Aid Agreement triennial exercise. His coaching of international Heads Of Departments was applied immediately the next day when a tsunami hit the Samoa archipelago. Martin received official recognition from the High Commissioner of France in New Caledonia.
