School is starting all over the area, and that includes classes that are starting soon at college campuses.

There's a big push to promote security at schools all over the country. UT Dallas is doing something unique for colleges in North Texas. It has put in new license plate reading cameras on campus. It's another tool to prevent crime.

On today's Ask The Expert North Texas, we're joined by Chief Larry Zacharias, he's the Police Chief UT Dallas Police Department

The Dallas ISD is the latest district in the state of Texas to make some changes to what kids can bring to school when classes start again next month. DISD is now requiring students from 6th grade to senior year to carry their books in clear or mesh backpacks.
