F1 US GP: Lewis & LeClerc Walk the Plank

F1 US GP: Lewis & LeClerc Walk the Plank

In a shocking turn of events at the United States Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were both disqualified from the race, sending shockwaves through the Formula 1 community, leaving fans and experts stunned.... and certain podcasters having to record twice!

The controversy began when race stewards found irregularities with the planks reviewed from both the Mercedes and Ferrari cars. This violation of the technical regulations led to the immediate disqualification of Hamilton and Leclerc, who had originally finished 2nd and 6th in the race, respectively.

Max Verstappen celebrated his 50th Formula 1 victory in front of the less than enthusiastic American fans.

Meanwhile, we discuss McLaren, who had been Verstappen's closest competitors in the early part of the race, and question whether they conceded without much of a fight?

Another notable aspect of the race weekend was the requirement around "keeping to the delta" in Qualifying. We look into if this requirement has solved anything, or only made things worse?

We also break down the lap one incident between Oscar Piastri and Esteban Ocon and Logan Sargeants first ever points in F1!

Bonus: Deep Dive - Why Sam Snead Plays Girls for Money

Sam Snead is without question one of the greatest golfers of all time. He is known for many things but most remember his smooth golf swing. Equally as impressive is his trophy case. He still shares the record for most wins on the PGA (82).   In this episode of "Did I Tell You About My Albatross," host Albi introduces a new bonus series that delves deeper into the greatest golf stories and Slamming Sammy certainly owns one. On a beautiful day in 1962, Sam became the first and only Man to win an LPGA Tour Event. Albi dives deep to understand better who Sam Snead was, why he chose to compete in an LPGA, and why this was even a thing.

The crew will be back for another traditional episode of DITYAMA early next week.

    Episode 41

    Episode 41

Buck up brothers and sisters because this week's discussion goes for quite a ride! In this True Discussion, Christopher and Joseph cover a handful of pop culture events that are built on a lie. Are men and women the same? Is it winning if a man beats a woman at a woman's sport? Etiquette in the locker room, what!? Another fun episode you will definitely want to listen to!

EP 47 God Has a Purpose for You Today

EP 47 God Has a Purpose for You Today

Ever heard the phrase, “Don’t burn bridges because you may need them one day”? Despite this sound advice, sometimes we need to burn the bridges to our past so we can walk forward into our future. We are not to burn people, but there are often habits, places and relationships that we cannot return to if we want to follow Jesus with everything we’ve got. This episode will empower you to look forward so you can move confidently into the calling and purpose God has for your life right where you are today.

    and Peter - Audio

    and Peter - Audio
Has Easter deeply impacted your life spiritually? It did for Peter the disciple. Following the resurrection, Jesus had a specific message for Peter knowing that he was at the point of giving up. Pastor Christian unpacks the two of the most powerful words of Easter - "and Peter" - from Mark 16:7. Pastor Christian specifically addresses what it means in the lives of those who feel like failures and disqualified spiritually.

When Sin Becomes More Than Disobedience - Audio

When Sin Becomes More Than Disobedience - Audio
We know that most Christian’s are not living perfect lives, but when does sin disqualify us from serving in a church ministry and such? Do we have to become free from sin in order to serve or even to be effective? The Bible gives us some direction on this. Some examples; Judas served in Jesus ministry even after he became a thief, Aaron continued on as High Priest, despite having made an idol, but then Paul rejected John Mark from going with them on the 2nd missionary journey and dismissed others from service for different sins. Paul also wrote (1 Corinthians 5:2) “And you are proud! You should have been filled with sadness so that the man who did this should be put out of your group.” [NCV] In this service we look to see what the Bible tells us will disqualify us from service in the Kingdom.

Life of Peter: "Foundation of Service for Jesus" Jn 21:1-19

Life of Peter: "Foundation of Service for Jesus" Jn 21:1-19

Peter's failure may have disqualified him for service in our minds and in his own mind; however, the one Person whose opinions truly matters believed that there was hope yet for Peter. Jesus found Peter where he was, forgave him of who he was and what he had done, and then gave him the privilege of serving the King of kings with his life. If there was hope for Peter, thank God there is hope for us as well!
