We made it! 300 episodes! Look at us, who woulda thunk? But hey we still got news to talk about. Top stories include Disney's investment into Epic Games and a new Fortnite partnership. Microsoft and Xbox are facing a massive wave of distrust, doubt, and sadness after rumors spark a wildstorm, and Gina Carano is suing Disney over "free speech". Plus we have Final Fantasy news, EVO news, and Hollywood just sending a flood of news down the pike. Including a river of Disney news.

Donnie Yen to lead big-screen adaptation of 'Kung Fu' with David Leitch in talks to direct
Donnie Yen, the celebrated Hong Kong action star, is set to take on the lead role in a cinematic adaptation of the classic TV series Kung Fu. Talks are underway for David Leitch, known for his prowess in action films, to direct the movie for Universal. Based on the 1972-1975 TV series, the film will be set in the Old West, following the story of Kwai Chang Caine, originally portrayed by David Carradine. Despite the controversy surrounding the original series, it achieved cult status and played a crucial role in popularizing martial arts in America. Leitch expresses privilege in working with Yen, describing him as an immensely talented actor and martial arts legend. The screenplay, penned by Stephen Chin, who also wrote War Dogs, will be produced by 87North. While the release date is pending, the collaboration anticipates an exciting reimagining of this beloved story for the big screen.

Brotherhood of the Wolf, Scream 6, and John Wick: Chapter 4

In this week’s episode of the AIPT Movies podcast, Alex, Tim, and Matt discuss the wonderfully-unique French period action horror film, Brotherhood of the Wolf! An unforgettable revenge-rampage scene! Homages to Predator and Jaws! Extraordinary costume design! Atmospheric visuals from John Wick 4 and Nightmare Alley cinematographer Dan Laustsen! Twists and turns that keep you on your toes! A fantastic cast that includes an exceptionally creepy Vincent Cassel, and action star Mark Dacascos in one of his best roles! Gothic horror and martial arts action inexplicably blended together in one perfect package!

In addition, Alex saw and enjoyed Scream 6, but his heart belongs to John Wick: Chapter 4.

You can find AIPT Movies on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends!
