What About Vietnam - S4-25 - Drone photography in Vietnam: A fun Guide for travellers (Pt 3 Photography)

Are you a drone enthusiast planning to visit Vietnam? Or do you have a general interest in drone photography. Either way you won't want to miss this episode where my guest  Anton, a local drone enthusiast, shares his tips and experiences on drone use in the country.  Along with some humorous tales of motor bike riding.

Anton, known as 'Alright Anton'  from his YouTube channel  is able to share with us his insights and tips on how to simplify the process of using drones for non-commercial purposes.  He shares very real circumstances that can impact your drone flying success in some locations; and you will laugh hysterically at the stories he shares containing birds, wind and avoiding mountains.
The big tip: - Stick to avoiding 'no fly' zones and you won't have any problems.

Anton, originally from Ukraine, has been traveling throughout Asia for the past five years, starting in Malaysia, where he taught English for three years. He developed an interest in blogging and photography during his travels and has since started a YouTube channel where he shares his experiences and drone footage. Anton believes that Vietnam has it all, from beaches to mountains, making it an ideal destination for drone photography.

For the real amateurs like myself I share some of my own experiences with my DJI Mavic Pro 3,  and how travelling with this camera can cause some challenges. However, with some forethought, and proper planning, these can easily be overcome.

It's a fun show as in addition to Anton's droning experiences he shares his genuine love of places like Ninh Binh, Ha Giang, Sapa and while some of his travel stories are scary, his tales are very amusing.

This is Part 3 of the mini series of Photography, which I hope you will keep for reference and share with other interested travellers.

Fall Foliage East and West with Jerry Monkman and G Dan Mitchell

It’s leaf peeping time in the northern hemisphere when trees break into riots of color as autumn plows a path from north to south. Two of the best regions for capturing the show here in the US are across New England and along California’s magnificent Sierra Nevada. To help get you up to speed when preparing for your own foliage excursions, we speak with landscape photography specialists in each of these regions—Jerry Monkman in New England and G. Dan Mitchell in California’s Sierra Nevada.

After weighing in with informed opinions about when and where to find the best color this year, Monkman and Mitchell make suggestions about fresh ways to picture the scenery and discuss topographic and geological differences between east and west. We also talk gear—both DSLR and mirrorless—with Monkman opting for the Canon 5D Mark IV or EOS R5, and Mitchell alternating between the Canon 5DS R and FUJIFILM X series mirrorless.

For all of the above and much more, please join us for this informative discussion and discover new ways to reap an autumn photography harvest and take your landscape and scenic photography to new heights.

005 - Jordan Freed - Vision on a Mission from Childhood to Young Entrepreneur

005 - Jordan Freed - Vision on a Mission from Childhood to Young Entrepreneur

Jordan is not your average young entrepreneur. She has been guided by her passions since childhood and followed her dreams in film-making to become self-employed, but not through the lens of a "typical" path. Jordan gives almost all the credit to her loving parents who treated their family like a bonding unit of friends. She mentions that having such a tight-knit family has provided her the space, support and trust from within to explore her journey while designing the lifestyle she loves. Wellness has been an underlying aspect of Jordan's life since we played soccer together starting in Kindergarten. Now, in her mid twenties, Jordan has blossomed into a magical woman with a motivated man by her side and here she is to share her ever-evolving takeaways. I love Jordan's story, because she has a wonderful perspective no matter where you are in life; a kid, student, mom, dad, sister, etc. Enjoy :)
