Spousal support can be a difficult subject for both clients and lawyers.  Sometimes clients, who are just starting the process of separation or divorce, have general questions about spousal support but end up having to wait until a host of other matters have been addressed before getting any answers. Shannon Gunn Emery invites you to learn more about entitlement, lump sum and periodic support, quantum, duration, imputing of income, and waivers, which are all discussed in this episode. 

As behavior analysts, we have to know what the function of a problematic behavior is and why the client is doing it. When you’re confronting challenging behavior, you’re going to be capturing it in a behavior plan. It’s important to understand the data collection process around behavior reduction goals. The first step should be defining the behavior you’re looking to collect the data on and getting as specific as possible so everyone’s on the same page. Then, you can collect specific ABC data on the behavior you’re targeting.

Sometimes data collection can go on longer than it should and become overwhelming for both the collector and anyone doing analysis. It helps to set limits around the data collection period and to reassess once you’ve determined the function. Once you’ve gone through the initial ABC process, you can then move on to frequency and duration, and we cover how to tell which to focus on. We also go over partial interval recording and when it may be helpful to use it.

In this second episode about Hell, Arnie and Fred continue their discussion of whether Hell is a place of punishment. We note several Bible passages that tell us that Hell is in fact reserved for the punishment of evildoers.  Jesus in several passages tells us this is the case. We look at those passages. We talk about how long Hell must be endured. We note that there are a number of opinions that people have that are not what the Bible says. There are a number of Bible passages that say Hell will be endured by evil doers eternally, that is forever. We note a number of passages that tell us that Hell's duration is the same as that of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is no annihilation or temporary purgatory in Hell as some teach and believe. We end this episode by looking at how Hell can be consistent with God's mercy, grace and love.  Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion.
