Overcome shitty feelings in 90 seconds

Imagine if you could get over every negative emotion in 90 seconds. Just one and a half minutes and it could all be over. How do we master this magic? The idea was first floated by neuro-anatomist Jill Bolte Taylor and we’re going to teach you how to do it.

What Does the Bible Say About Heaven?

What Does the Bible Say About Heaven?

In this episode, Arnie and Fred begin a discussion of what the Bible says about heaven. On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus discussed heaven but referred to it as "My father's house". We talk about some of the terms that heaven is called in the bible such as everlasting kingdom, our country, our inheritance, and paradise. We continue by noting some of the passages that tell us what heaven is like. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on the discussion. Have your Bible handy to verify what we are saying. There is a transcript provided for your convenience.

Wait, sulking can be a GOOD thing?

Wait, sulking can be a GOOD thing?

Let's talk about sulking; being silent and bad tempered when you're annoyed or disappointed. It's not just for kids, us adults love it too. Even though sulking is seen as a bad thing, it has been shown to have benefits! We’re going to explore how to sulk in a mindful way – and reap all the rewards.

    July 18, 2021-2 Samuel 7:1-14a (Pentecost 8-Year B)

A house does not make a home. As King David settles into his own palace in Jerusalem, he begins to wonder about building a suitable house, a temple, for God's ark. God's response to David's generous gift is curiosity. "When did I ever ask for house?", responds God. In this week's episode, we discover what God may really want from David and from us today. We might be surprised to learn that God may not need a house as much as God desires to dwell in us and among us. We might be the house God has always wanted.

    Advent 2019: Grasping vs Giving

    Advent 2019: Grasping vs Giving

The following is NOT a Christmas message, despite kicking off our celebration of Advent 2019.  It is, however, an examination of how Jesus refused to grasp onto His divine status, but instead came to Earth to give, give, give and give some more.  He has great gifts ready for us, and He came in humility and power to give them.  Great gifts, like the gifts of Advent: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.  And Ferrero Rocher.

Okay, so maybe there is some Christmas in there somewhere.
