This episode turns the spotlight on the empowering art of personal branding, and the tenacity required to purge toxic relationships from our lives. Our narrative begins with the importance of inspiration, drawing from the negotiation prowess of my mother and the legendary ambition of figures like Michael Jordan and 50 Cent. We unravel the influence of assertiveness and the courage to carve out our own destinies.

Henson's encounters with undervaluation, shining a light on the crucial role of a robust personal brand and an unwavering support system. I'll share my own trials of missed opportunities and the systemic challenges that dare to define our worth, but most importantly, how we must architect our own success stories in the face of these adversities.

From navigating professional pitfalls to celebrating collective triumphs, this is an invitation to manage your career with grace and confidence. Ep.137 Mansions and Miscellaneous Bones in Missouri

Ep.137 Mansions and Miscellaneous Bones in Missouri

This week don’t travel too far and visit the state of Missouri! First, Kenzie talks about the case of Bunchee Nyhuis and how forensics helped investigators solve and close a case that was once deemed unsolvable. Afterwards, Lauren tells us about the haunted Lemp Mansion. Purchased by William J. Lemp as a residence and auxiliary brewery office, Lemp used his massive brewery fortune to turn the thirty-three room house into a Victorian showplace. But the house holds dark secrets that still haunt the property to this day. You won’t want to *miss* out on this awesome Missouri episode!

    Frozen

    Frozen

Embark on a wintry escapade with us as we celebrate over a decade of Disney's "Frozen," unpacking the frost-laden elegance of Elsa's story and the enduring warmth of sisterly love. Feel a chill down your spine and a tug at your heartstrings as  Anthony and Dakota dissect the nuanced character dynamics and rich themes that have solidified "Frozen" as a cultural landmark. We navigate the icy paths and glowing hearths of this beloved tale, tracing the impact of Elsa's decisions, the fate of royal parents, and the expanding universe of sequels and books.

Anime aficionados, prepare for a treat as Anthony ignites a debate over the latest releases that are ruffling feathers in the anime community. We compare the buzz to the fervor around hits like "Jujutsu Kaisen," and ponder Wit Studio's daring venture to remake "One Piece." Get ready for a commentary on adaptation approaches and a shared recollection of our personal journeys with anime and manga. We also venture into the realm of gaming, juxtaposing our thrilling plunge into "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora" with the enchanting yet puzzling world of "Hogwarts Legacy," not forgetting to glance forward at the horizon for "Persona 3 Reload" and "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth."

As the frost recedes, we reflect on the magic that "Frozen" casts on the animation landscape, shaping narratives about love and relationships in a way only Disney can. Dakota's wife, Jen, adds her sparkle to the conversation, shedding light on the sequel's continuity, while we leap from Arendelle to the enchanting Frozen land at Hong Kong Disneyland. We examine the fairy tale fabric of the Frozen saga, weaving in tales of sisterhood, subversive love, and the comedic gold that Disney strikes when it challenges the age-old trope of love at first sight. Wrap up in your favorite blanket, and let's share laughter and insights as we pay homage to a film that continues to melt hearts and inspire dreams, a decade in the making.

#62 | Elsa Henderson | Process Oriented Psychotherapy

#62 | Elsa Henderson | Process Oriented Psychotherapy

Elsa Henderson moves between the roles of facilitator, coach and educator. Her background is in Process Oriented Psychology and Anthropology and is currently pursuing her doctorate in organisational studies, exploring how we make sense of things when things don't make sense.

She is one of the key teachers at MetaVision Institute and someone I learned a lot from in my studies of Processwork. She also has her sun, moon and a few other planets in Sagittarius.

Elsa joins me today to talk about the fascinating world of process work, not just as a therapeutic tool, but as a way to interact with reality in deeper and more substantial ways than those we are generally exposed to.

It's a fascinating and wide ranging discussion, as one would expect from the arrow of the archer.

Reel Rankings: The Revival (Part 2): 2013-2016

Part 2 takes us through Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, and Moana. These titans of modern animated filmmaking filled co-host Raeley and I with such hope for a new era in Disney animation... and then they "broke" the internet.

P.S. This was recorded long before the public announcement that Auli'i Cravalho will be the executive producer of the live-action remake of
Moana. We here at Disney Reel to Reel support further media representation for all cultures, including Pacific Islanders. We just have a beef with the Walt Disney Studios for not taking on more innovative projects. But what else is new in Hollywood?
