    Sarah Johnson, The COP26 Experience

    Sarah R. Johnson is a landscape-based environmental educator. As a freelance science educator, she is focused on climate change, public lands, watershed science, civics, and geography, and teaching and learning through her business,  Wild Rose Education. She designs and facilitates educator professional development workshops, teaches public lands courses, teaches International Arctic Buoy Program STEM programs, and facilitates a Colorado cohort of climate change educators. Sarah has created and facilitated numerous environmental education programs including the award-winning Youth Water Leadership Program. 

    Sarah is currently a  PolarTREC educator,  Spirituality and EE eePro Group Moderator,  Guidelines for Excellence eePro Group Moderator, and also a student of the  Living School  at the Center for Action and Contemplation. Sarah has been based in western Colorado working to protect rivers and public lands through education since 2004 where she enjoys playing outside during all seasons, gardening, and making music.

    Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Success InSight Podcast

    Today's episode of Success InSight is another addition to our Outdoor Adventure Series.

    It's a pleasure to introduce you to Ken Keffer. Ken is a freelance writer and speaker. a professional naturalist, and an award-winning environmental educator and author. Ken’s career is spent highlighting the importance of nature and encouraging people to explore the outdoors. Ken has penned seven books connecting kids and the outdoors.

    Ken received the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education’s Nonformal Educator of the Year Award, and “The Kids’ Outdoor Adventure Book: 448 Great Things to Do In Nature Before You Grow Up” was awarded a National Outdoor Book Award honorable mention.

    Ken is also a regular contributor to Birds & Blooms magazine, he has also written for regional and national outlets in both print and online including Wyoming Wildlife, Backcountry Journal, the National Wildlife Federation, Parks & Recreation, and Outdoors Unlimited.

    He is often featured on numerous radio and television broadcasts, including appearances as the outdoor adventure contributor on Milwaukee Public Radio and on Iowa Public Radio, and he is currently on the Outdoor Writers Association of America Board of Directors.
