Les Israélites voyagent de Qadesh-Barnéa à la rive orientale du Jourdain. III. Les fauteurs de troubles

- Le peuple d'Édom : Les Israélites demandent aux Édomites s'ils peuvent traverser leur pays rapidement et pacifiquement. Les Édomites refusent, malgré le fait qu'ils descendent du frère jumeau de Jacob, Ésaü.

IV. La tragédie

- L'incrédulité d'Israël : Lorsque les Israélites manquent d'eau, ils accusent Moïse et déplorent le fait qu'ils ne soient pas de retour en Égypte.

- La directive de Dieu : L’Éternel dit à Moïse de rassembler le peuple et de commander à un rocher de lui donner de l'eau.

- La désobéissance de Moïse : Après que le peuple rebelle se soit rassemblé, la colère de Moïse le fait crier : «Est-ce de ce rocher que nous vous ferons sortir de l'eau?». Il désobéit au commandement de l’Éternel et frappe le rocher à deux reprises. L'eau continue de couler, mais Moïse paie un triste prix pour sa désobéissance : il ne peut pas conduire le peuple vers la Terre promise.

IV. Les transitions

- Deux décès

1. Marie, sœur de Moïse : Marie meurt et est enterrée dans le désert de Tsin, près de Kadès.

2. Aaron, le frère de Moïse

(a) La préparation de sa mort : Moïse reçoit l'ordre d'emmener Aaron et Éléazar (le fils d'Aaron) sur le mont Hor et de transférer là les vêtements (et la fonction) du grand prêtre d'Israël de père en fils.

(b) Le lieu de sa mort : Aaron meurt et est enterré sur le mont Hor. Le peuple pleure alors Aaron pendant 30 jours.

- Deux désignations

1. Éléazar succède à Aaron : Éléazar devient désormais le deuxième grand prêtre d'Israël.

I. La constitution d'Israël (Moïse et la loi de Dieu) : les exigences de la fraternité (suite)

- Le contenu de la Constitution (suite)

2. Le code social (lois communautaires) : Voici une liste alphabétique des sujets abordés par ces lois.

(a) Blasphème : Le châtiment pour avoir parlé contre Dieu, contre les dirigeants ou contre les parents est la mort.

(f) Alimentation : Ces créatures sont autorisées comme source de nourriture : tous les animaux qui ont les sabots fendus et ruminent, les poissons à nageoires et écailles, les insectes qui sautent et les oiseaux propres.

(o) Sainteté : Le résultat final est : «Soyez saints, car je suis saint, moi, l’Éternel, votre Dieu». Cela implique beaucoup de choses, y compris le respect de ses parents et l'observation du sabbat.

(p) Idolâtrie : Il est même interdit à Israël de prononcer les noms des dieux païens, et les adorer mérite la mort par lapidation.

(v) Obéissance : Dieu récompensera l'obéissance des Israélites en leur fournissant une nourriture abondante, une longue vie et la victoire sur leurs ennemis. Ils seront également épargnés des maladies, des fausses couches et de la stérilité.

(cc) Impuretés sexuelles : Des punitions sont imposées pour divers péchés sexuels.

(1) Adultère

(2) Bestialité

(3) Homosexualité

(4) Inceste

(6) Relations pendant les menstruations

(gg) Sorcellerie : Les sorciers doivent être mis à mort.

When we don't understand something, we tend to ignore it. Putting our attention on something we barely understand is only a waste of time and energy, right? We will be voting for ballot propositions in November 2022 election. I proposed that you should vote NO to a proposition that is unclear what it can do for you. There is a chance that the proposition you do not fully understand will pass if you do not vote.

In today's episode, I address proposition 27, which is currently on the California ballot. With it, you can gamble on sports online from your laptop, tablet, mobile phone, or gaming console. Homeless people and drug addicts are said to benefit from it. It does not make sense to me that gambling institutions can solve problems that our government has not been able to solve for a long time.  

Here are some facts I have mentioned in today’s episode:

“When I say just say no I mean that unless you understand a specific proposition on your ballot, I urge you to vote no on it. Because if you fail to vote no then, in fact, those who vote on it have power increased. You are still subject to the rules but your power is being diminished by the fact that you're not addressing the issue.”

“They need to get at least 50 percent of the voting public and those who vote are casting a vote on that ballot. But in fact, if you're casting a vote that you do not know about, if you do nothing you are in fact voting by doing nothing. Because when you do nothing those who vote have their power intensified and increased by 2, 3, 4 times depending on the small percentage that may vote for an initiative for a proposition.” 

“If somehow gambling is going to solve the drug addiction problem I have real concerns about exactly how they propose to solve this problem. If, in fact, all the efforts being made by governments cities, and all around the country have not been able to solve the problem. Are you going to solve the drug addiction problem by creating new gambling addicts? Because that's what happens when you expand the ability of gambling to get into the overall market.”

“Vote no and put a stop to it if they want to explain what they're doing in some reasonable fashion then in fact you may consider it but under the current conditions with the telling stories and lies about what they're gonna do with all the money that's just poppycock.”

• Lead flow has been in abundance, and now you could find yourself in a moment where it stops happening, becomes a little harder. 
  
  
• How do you ensure your flow is protected and it remains? 
  
  
• We’ve had a good run of people wanting to buy, due to our last decade of changes and now we’re going to see interest rates rising and the demand for property easing and that will change the demand for mortgage brokers. 
  
  
• It’s fair that mortgage brokers will be concerned about this - but there are ways to bulletproof your business and adapt with the change. 
  
  
• Go back to the very things at the start that brokers do really well. 
  
  
• We’ve been so reactive on activity and you may find the gap widening now. 
  
  
• Bring in different strategies: once a week force yourself to have more proactive conversations with your database and your referral sources. 
  
  
• A lot of mortgage brokers have been so busy writing loans they haven’t put in the time into lead nurturing and lead generation work. Now is the time to do this. 
  
  
• Some of us have been spoilt over the last 18 months and now you will have to shift.
  
  
• Block out time each week or each day to allocate working on your business and building your client base. 
  
  
• Understand what pipeline is vs what database is. 
  
  
• Be conscious about being busy for busy-ness and busy for business. Understand the work you’re doing vs the return on investment. 
  
  
• Be clear on your reason for calling and your reason for engaging with your leads and with your database. 
  
  
• Some mortgage brokers thrive when there is complexity in the market and consumers turn to brokers for support and education. You can be there to stand up and support your clients in a new way.

• Your clients want that feedback from you and for you to be an advisor and a trusted voice, but you need to make sure you plant that seed and become the source they turn to when they need advice and education. 
  
  
• Families grow and change and life events happen and need to restructure their finances and talk to their broker - so you need to be Investing time in your business to proactively find and nurture your leads.
  
  
• Proactive time invested in lead nurturing and building your client base is a long term goal but it is worth it. 
  
  
• Create rhythm in your business and you don’t need to look at the moment. 
  
  
• Build these activities into your routine and they become habits so no matter what is happening in the market you can support your business growth.

(u) Maîtres et esclaves : Il existe des lois concernant les esclaves et leurs familles. Certaines de ces lois traitent de la libération des esclaves ou des mesures à prendre si les esclaves choisissent de rester avec leurs maîtres.
(w) Punition pour avoir fait du mal à autrui : Ceux qui commettent délibérément un meurtre, se livrent à la traite des esclaves ou maudissent leurs parents doivent être mis à mort. Toutes les victimes doivent recevoir un paiement des coupables, et il y a des punitions sévères pour ceux qui exploitent les veuves et les orphelins. Essentiellement, la punition est d'adapter le crime, exigeant œil pour œil, dent pour dent, main pour main, pied pour pied.
