    Jon Kasper grew up in Montana and was one of Montana's top sports writers from 1993 until 2004 with stops at the Great Falls Tribune and the Missoulian. Kasper covered Griz football in some capacity at the Missoulian from 1994 until 2004, including serving as the head beat writer from 1999 until 2004. He was the go-to source for Griz news and analysis during Montana's run to the 2001 national championship.

    Etu Molden almost walked out on the Griz football program when he found himself playing safety as a redshirt freshman. Instead, he transformed into one of the most dominant wide receivers in Montana and Big Sky Conference history, finishing his outstanding career with a crescendo. As a senior in 2001, Molden caught 102 passes for more than 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns to help lead Montana to its most recent football national championship.

    In the latest edition of Griz Greats- the 20th anniversary of the 2001 national champions, All-American safety Vince Huntsberger joins Colter Nuanez to recap his most indelible memories from Montana's last run to the national championship. 

    Huntsberger was a two-time All-American and a two-time Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year, including winning the honor in 2001. That season not only culminated in a national championship but also a Heisman Trophy vote during that 2001 season.
