Marijuana Poisoning Was Killing Our Son -Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS)

Marijuana Poisoning Was Killing Our Son -Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS)

Listen to Sergio and Gladys Longoria describe how marijuana was killing their son.

Today's more potent industrialized marijuana products are toxic and poisoning consumers. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) system is becoming overloaded with the chemicals or cannabinoids from the marijuana plant, including CBD and THC, resulting in a syndrome called CHS, Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome.
Cannabinoid = chemicals from the marijuana plant
Hyperemesis = increased vomiting or excessive vomiting
Syndrome = diagnosis is done by symptoms and not a direct medical test.

    Industrialized Marijuana Caused Psychosis

    Industrialized Marijuana Caused Psychosis

A mother describes how her teenage son became addicted and psychotic from "industrialized marijuana" which are products approved by the federal government through the 2018 Farm bill and products that are approved from state's like California and Colorado.

The expansion of marijuana and other drugs has overwhelmed our communities and become a regular part of our culture. This new age of industrialized THC allows predatory practices and well-funded campaigns to target vulnerable populations with minimal accountability. Our neighborhoods and schools are becoming unsafe. Families are under-educated and have minimal tools and resources to prevent, manage, or recover from the impacts of cannabis addiction, psychosis, toxicity, and other mental challenges that come from using these products. Our legislators consistently hear from drug advocates and lobbyists, and they do not hear enough from us.

Legal Hemp Products Lead To My Son's Death

Legal Hemp Products Lead To My Son's Death

The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp products, which legalized CBD. The Hemp industry is converting CBD to variants of THC, like Delta-8 and THC-O.  These products are being sold in Gas Stations, Dollar Stores, and Smoke Shops across the nation. They are dangerous, addictive, and just like the THC in the cannabis/marijuana plant they can cause episodes of psychosis and increase the risk for suicide.

Every Brain Matters - Aubree Adams | E67

Good day everyone, new day, new episode.

I sat down with Aubree from Every Brain Matters to discuss her story. Aubree is a brave mom, whose family got torn apart by marijuana. Her son started using marijuana at a young age and experienced psychosis. Later her husband started using.

Aubree's story is a great example of the extent of effects marijuana has on families and why it's no longer "just a bit of pot". Aubree is now heading Every Brain Matters, a non-profit organization where she educates others about the effects of cannabis.

She also has her own podcast and lots of interviews with a younger population about their cannabis addiction.

You can also watch Aubree's video on my YouTube channel!

Marijuana Led To Our Son's Death And The Coroner Wouldn't Even Test For It

Marijuana Led To Our Son's Death And The Coroner Wouldn't Even Test For It

They didn't know their son was using marijuana until just a few hours before his death.   Listen as these parents plea to the public to get educated on the true effects of marijuana use and for states to actually test for marijuana in toxicology reports.

The police reported a very strong order of marijuana in their son's car after he died, but these parents had to repeal the results of their son's toxicology report 3 times before the Corenor would test for the presence of marijuana. The results came back as marijuana intoxication because high levels of marijuana were found in their son's system at the time of his death.

Cannabis-Induced Psychosis and Addicted To Marijuana

Cannabis-Induced Psychosis and Addicted To Marijuana

Adam shares his experience, strength, and hope while experiencing cannabis-induced psychosis.

When he started using marijuana, he thought it was normal because kids do it all the time.

Cannabis/marijuana psychosis symptoms are paranoid delusions, suspiciousness, and a sense of grandiosity. Other potential symptoms include hallucinations, dissociation or a feeling of detachment and unreality, disorganized and disturbed thoughts, inappropriate emotional responses, and unusual changes in behavior.

Adam and his mother, Mary, are inspirations.  We are grateful they allowed Every Brain Matters to share their story.
