    Emptiness Action

    Emptiness Action

The two previous talks I offered were connected to Taoism and explored the territory of wu wei to a certain extent. This brought to mind a talk I offered several years ago about wu wei, coming at it from a different angle, a different approach. I didn’t offer a fresh talk this week, so I thought I’d send this older one along. Might be a fitting companion to the other two - have a listen and find out for yourself:

Thirty spokes converge on a hub
    but it's the emptiness
    that makes a wheel work
    pots are fashioned from clay
    but it's the hollow
    that makes a pot work
windows and doors are carved for a house
    but it's the spaces
    that make a house work
    existence makes a thing useful
    but nonexistence makes it work

Talking 911 Modifications with Andrew at NineElevenSouth

In this episode I'm talking 911 modifications with another Porsche content creator I discovered recently. Andrew has a YouTube channel and Instagram named Nine Eleven South and if you haven't checked him out yet, you should!

Andrew is currently 6 episodes into collection of approximately a dozen videos called the 991 Build Series in which he's talking his newly acquired black 991 and modifying it to make it his own. Like myself and with my own 991, I love tuning and enhancing my cars to make them my own so with this passion in common we're off to a cracking start. Tune in, kick back and enjoy!

Why our cities must ditch the exhaust pipe

Why our cities must ditch the exhaust pipe

You don’t have to be an expert or a car owner to get involved in the exhaust pipe debate – from the way your parcels are delivered to how you get around, we’re all using a transport system which is hurting our planet. The solution? Electrifying transportation, especially fleets. On this episode of TEDxLondon’s Climate Curious podcast electrification advocate and TED speaker Monica Araya breaks down how we can shift to an emissions-free world, in an equitable way. She joins hosts Maryam Pasha and Ben Hurst to debunk the different energy sources that power our vehicles, explain why EVs are so much more than a Tesla, and highlight the cities leading the way to eliminate these exhaust pipe polluters. Having spent her career campaigning for clean air across the world, Monica is optimistic for where we’ll be in ten years; “the sound of the city will be different”. This week’s Climate Confessions? Taking flights just for the loyalty points, hybrid Ubers, and being unable to resist buying that new shirt.

Sports Exhausts with Mike Spock, Soul Performance Products

Sports Exhausts with Mike Spock, Soul Performance Products

Part 1 of a 3 part series. As many of you who watch my YouTube channel know, my Porsche 911 is running a sports exhaust system from Soul Performance Products. About a year ago I installed the Soul valved exhaust system, which operates in the same way as the Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) but brings the flat 6 engine to life in a more exciting, exhilarating way. Then just recently I finished off my exhaust upgrade by replacing the stock Porsche headers with Soul's long tube street headers which have given performance gains in the region of 25 hp as well finishing off the 911's perfect flat 6 howl above 5k RPM. In this podcast we chat with Mike Spock from Soul Performance to learn about the company, who they are, what they stand for and a little about their exciting range of products. We also talk about what the future holds for them as Porsche continues to introduce new and exciting models as well as technologies to their sports cars. Enjoy!

"On The Prowl", episode 211 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast, begins with the typical recurring ending segment of the show with the cast talking about their latest Transformers toy acquisitions. The newly revealed BotBots product line from Hasbro is discussed next, with varying opinions on the appeal of these upcoming toys. Various newly revealed Movie Studio Series toys are analyzed, with forthcoming figures such as Deluxe Class Shatter, Cogman, and Scrapmetal, Voyager Class Long Haul, and Leader Class Jetfire getting a look. The latter's combination abilities with another Voyager Optimus Prime figure is also a topic of conversation, along with speculation on the Leader Class Megatron inspired by the character's appearance in 2011's Dark of the Moon. After all that, the retrospective look at the "Super Car" era of Transformers Masterpiece toys from Hasbro and Takara Tomy continues with discussion of MP-17 Prowl, MP-18 Streak, and the retooled MP-19 Smokescreen. Their repaints are talked about next, including the recently released MP-17+ version of Prowl. MP-20 Wheeljack and the enigmatic MP-23 Exhaust get a look, with perspective on Philip Morris' objections that complicated Exhaust's release. The show finishes up with a chat about MP-21 Bumblebee and the red repaint of the toy, plus the gold G2 version.
