    #61 | Sagittarius | The Archer

Sagittarius is the sign that follows Scorpio in the story of the Zodiac. It represents what happens once we've returned from the dark night of the soul. Through Sagittarius we find meaning, purpose and grander visions.

Faye Northgrave joins me today to explore this most fiery and visionary of signs. With the help of the myths of Zeus/Jupiter, Apollo & Artemis, The race of Centaurs including the kindly Chiron and more we delve deeper into the mythic themes of mutable fire.

Ghost Ships and The Green Children of Woolpit

Ghost Ships and The Green Children of Woolpit

Welcome to the Two Scaredy Cats Podcast on this episode we have a couple of Mysterious stories for consider.

Our first story is about a ghost ship by the name of  The Jenny.  This story is about an alleged English Schooner that gets frozen in a wall of ice, while traveling through the Drake Passage in the Antarctic Ocean. This story originally appeared in an article in '' Wiener Zeitung" paper on Feb. 1841.    In the several weeks following the original printing of this story it appeared in at least seven other newspapers.   We also talk about where the saying Davy Jones's Locker originates from and about the real life  pirate Davy Jones.

Our second story is the legend of "The Green Chirldren of Woolpit.  This story is a tale of two mysterious children with green skin and green clothes who appear out of a cave. They spoke gibberish and only ate beans.  This is an old Folktale that has been in circulation since the 12 century.

We have also included the time stamp for each story:

    Intro:  0:00- 7;15
    Haunted Doll: 7:15- 10:00
    Ghost Ships: 11:35-23:45
The Green Children of Woolpit 24:00-35:00

#193: The Cowboy Bebop Improvement Tape

#193: The Cowboy Bebop Improvement Tape

Just warning you right now, Sean opens up this episode with a big ol' "Buckle Up Cowboys," and it is absolutely warranted given the episode topic. Whether you love it (Sean) or hate it (Kev), Cowboy Bebop was an incredible influence on the western side of the world getting into anime. The episode focuses more so on the fact that it may not necessarily hold up to the test of time like a lot of other all time greats do. So we spend the episode chatting about some of Cowboy Bebop's pitfalls, and how they could have been avoided.

    See You Space Cowboy...

Welcome to episode 53 of the Shonen Tapes Podcast. Today, after much contention, the guys discuss the forever loved 90's anime, Cowboy Bebop. After watching the 26 episodes that comprise the series, they discuss how they feel about the show overall. In particular, Kevin discuss why he initially thought the show was mildly corny, and if he still feels the same way after watching the full show. They talk about it's overall legacy, what their favorite parts were, and why Spike is one of the best characters in all of anime. How do you feel about Cowboy Bebop, do you feel like it does match other show of it's time, or do you feel that it deserves the respect it has been given? Ep. 183: Nat King Cole Bay-Bay

Ep. 183: Nat King Cole Bay-Bay

Confession time: Danielle has had one helluva busy week with work beyond wrestling. But never fear, she still got to watch NXT TakeOver: Portland! Banger matches, character progression, story advancement… pretty standard fare for a TakeOver at this point, right? We’ll say where we see all of our favorites go from here as we prepare for the final stretch to WWE in Tampa.

Unfortunately Danielle wasn’t able to see the rest of the wrestling from the week. Luckily Hal (and some interstitial comments to Julian) are going to help get her up to speed. We’ll get into everything from Cody’s bleeding habits, Nyla Rose’s underrated promo ability, the silliness of the Elimination Chamber and tons more.

    The Three Count

Danielle put over Sasha Banks on "Mandalorian".

Julian put over Monday Night RAW

Hal put over the NXT commentary team and their work on NXT TakeOver: Portland

Hosted by Hal Lublin and Danielle Radford.

Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.

    Ep. 182: TakeOver: Pirates’ Booty.

    Ep. 182: TakeOver: Pirates’ Booty.

The full group of wrassle friends is reunited! Hal, Danielle and Lindsey have tons of good wrestling to discuss after so long apart. Including Shayna Baszler taking a big bite out of Becky Lynch, AEW’s battle of the One-eyed Willies and new AEW women’s champion, Nyla Rose.

But all that aside... we’ve also got to talk about the XFL! Which is apparently… good now?

And are we witnessing the finale of Matt Hardy’s WWE career? We’ll salute the formerly woken warrior and explain why him taking up for Edge is actually hilarious in the context of his career.

All of that.. Plus we’ll explain why the Bellas are more than worthy of a Hall of Fame nomination, despite the worst corners of wrestling twitter’s opinions.

    The Three Count

Daniell put over Faye Jackson’s grey sweatpants battle royal.

Lindsey put over The Broserweights and Britt Baker.

Hal put over the Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon

Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk.

Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.
