No.4 Wildland Firefighter Foundation (Burk Minor)

"Compassion Spreads Like Wildfire" rings true of Burk Minor and anyone who has had the privilege to meet this man and his heart for the wildland community.

Burk Minor is the Co-founder and Executive Director of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation but has been taking care of hurting firefighters and their families long before the foundation's existence - having dedicated thirty plus years in wildland fire and has become a voice for the boots on the ground.

Ever since 1994 after the Storm King Mountain Tragedy where 14 firefighters were killed, his life has never been the same. Everyday he and the foundation fill the gap to support the families, friends, and colleagues affected by injury or loss of life in every way they can. Their mission is to provide help where there is greatest need and to properly recognize and honor the past, present, and future wildland firefighters around the globe.

Fires around the world are getting bigger and with that the need for the WFF only grows stronger

"Maxy - 2 minutes aventures" is a children's podcast that follows the adventures of Maxy, a curious little puppy. Maxy enjoys exploring and learning new things, and in this podcast, he gets to visit his father's workplace at the fire station. Maxy is excited to see where his father works and learn more about what he does because his father is a firefighter. Maxy visits the fire station and sees the big red trucks, the firefighters in their suits, the fire poles, the sleeping quarters, and the big fire trucks. He even gets to sit behind the wheel of a fire truck and honk the horn. Maxy's visit to the training area is also covered in the podcast, where he learns how to use the hose and gets to spray some water. Overall, "Maxy - 2 minutes aventures" is a fun and educational podcast that will pique children's interest in the world of firefighters.

Weekly Scrap #150 - Curt Isakson, We are the lucky ones!

<<This Episode had Technical Issues>>  Joined by Chief Curt Isakson to commemorate episode #150 of the Scrap! Topics we discuss include: The year of the Rescue, We are the Lucky Ones! Understanding Impact, Experience and mentoring... and that does not include all the audience threw our way! Curt gave away a lot of conference passes to CF Tactic conferences during the live show.

There were a lot of technical issues with the live feed, I tried to edit most of them out for the podcast, but it is choppy and disjointed at times.
