Carla was first known by the general public for being a finalist on Top Chef Season 4 and Top Chef All-Stars, where her authentic and down to earth soul captured the hearts of viewers. She is also a former cohost of the renowned ABC daytime talk show, "The Chew" and is an active judge for multiple baking championship competitions on Food Network! Though Carla initially embarked on a career as a CPA, she explored the modelling industry for a moment, landing her in Paris, France, which ultimately wound her up in the culinary industry.

Carla is open with us about growing up facing adversity and racism as a female POC, initially in an all-black community and school, then relocating to an all-white neighbourhood and facing those experiences alike. Oh, and did we mention she makes an official apology to Mr. WAYNE BRADY?! You'll have to watch to find out why...

She is a multi-cookbook author, a fellow podcaster with her show "Say YES!", has a new children's book coming out, and is an overall B O S S WOMAN! Carla was a gracious and soulful human to connect with and she has endless wisdom, which she imparted in her time with us.
