    SHFTS Season 5 Episode 06

    SHFTS Season 5 Episode 06

Last week was very much a return to the older days of SHFTS, with the founding hosts reprising their roles behind the mic. This week we are ringing in the changes by having a full roster of hosts that have been brought in as new additions to the show. Tara Nelson AKA Terabyt3, Tony Atkins AKA Ghostworld and Mike Barton AKA Radarhead have taken on the reins of SHFTS with aplomb as they share their thoughts on the gaming week past. Their topics meander from the addictive qualities of MMOs to how IONs iCade cabinet does not really measure up as far as Tara is concerned.

In terms of the news, Double Fine is celebrating its success with the Kickstarter campaign, David Jaffe leaving Eat Sleep Play, and Blizzard suing Valve over the use of the name DOTA.

    SHFTS Season 5 Episode 05

Hendrix chats about the ending of the second SHFTS Forza 4 racing series and gripes over how poor the game is due to badly implemented racing management and how people should buy Freespace 2 over Sol Exodus. BloodShot Robot shares his thoughts on the PS Vita he imported and sings its praises in the process. Tara talks about her time with Saints Row the Third DLC and Chris expands on his experiences with Soul Calibur V and Twisted Metal. SWTOR also features in the conversion, with interesting stories about opposing faction players invading instances.

In the news we marvel at BioWare patching a book on Mass Effect, Atari arcade developers making iOS games, THQ burdened with unsold uDraw devices, Dark Souls developer apologising over poor frame rates and Zynga not caring one jot that it copies games made by small independent studios.

    SHFTS Season 4 Episode 52

This is the last episode of Season 4 of the SuperHappyFunTimeShow and with it, we bring 2011 to a close,  and what a year it has been! Many citing it as one of the best years in video games in a very long time.  Tara and Chris go through what they thought was the good, bad and ugly in terms of video game releases over the past 12 months and also look to the future.  Why not share your thoughts on how 2011 turned out and indeed what 2012 is to have in store for us.  Will it match the glories of 2011?  Only time will tell as well as some misguided analysts.

With BloodShot Robot gone the crew do their best to cheer themselves up, only to make themselves feel even worse by regaling each other about the experiences they had with Ace Combat Assault Horizon.  For that game does little to progress the long running franchise as Hendrix is so very quick to point out.  It is not all bad however, as Forza 4 proves to be a tad more worthwhile to spend ones time on, at least that is according to resident petrol head, Mr Hendrix.

    SHFTS Season 4 Episode 24

Kropotkin returns from his travels in LALA Land while gawping at things at E3 and we have a special guest in the form of Tara from The Most Popular Girls on the Internet, where can this show go wrong?  Well it fails to, so there.  Anyway we discuss the delights of Child of Eden on Kinect and how Hendrix is still suffering from brain farts following his continued fasting of all things caffeine related.  We also chat about what Kropotkin saw and played with at E3 including the PSVita and WiiU.  So do listen, you may even find it vaguely entertaining.
