"Men" w/ Fran Tirado and Rose Dommu

Today we are joined by our illustrious podcasting sisters Rose Dommu and Fran Tirado of the Like a Virgin podcast to get to the bottom of questions the government refuses to address. Questions such as: Are straight women the LGBTs of straight people? Is the media kink-shaming Joe Biden's disgraced former nuclear waste czar? Could a gay man play Jason Bourne? Plus: Rose reminisces about her time in the Trump administration and we contemplate what turns Fran Lebowitz on sexually. It's NOT what you think!

2002: The Bourne Identity / Top 5 Action Heroes

2002: The Bourne Identity / Top 5 Action Heroes

We've done a couple action movies before (Road House, Point Break), but not any as serious as this week. While those movies may be loved for the camp factor, The Bourne Identity actually tries to be a quality movie. Matt Damon's foray into the action genre was a huge success, spawning many sequels and reboots. What did we think? Is this series a classic like the Die Hard movies?

Speaking of Die Hard and other action movies/series, we round out this episode with our favorite action heroes of all-time. Is John McClain number one? Is our list representative of both tough guys and tough gals? Listen now and find out. Then let us know who your favorites are.

Abandoned Amnesiac Assassin | The Bourne Identity

Abandoned Amnesiac Assassin | The Bourne Identity

A story about espionage is a great avenue to get an audience member engaged in a tale. The story can either add to their own conspiracies about how the world of secret intelligence works or begin to deconstruct them. The Bourne Identity is a story that puts us in the shoes of an amnesiac assassin who is trying to figure out who he is, all while surviving against the world’s most adept assets. In this week’s episode of Parallel Quest, the guys discuss drive-in theaters, reaction videos, generational gaps, amnesia, free cam, James Bond, and of course this is all done with the backdrop of the main topic: The Bourne Identity.
