Dieter Bankert, er hat am Bauhaus in Dessau mitgewirkt, zwei der wichtigsten Paläste der DDR entworfen: der Palast der Republik und der Friedrichstadt-Palast, der heute unter Denkmalschutz steht. Ein Gespräch mit einem wachen, junggebliebenen Menschen, der sich auch der Malerei zuwandte.

My guest today is probably the best architect we have. Dieter Bankert, he worked at the Bauhaus in Dessau, designed two of the most important palaces of the GDR: the Palace of the Republic and the Friedrichstadt Palace, which is now a listed building. A conversation with an alert, young at heart person who also turned to painting.
