Day 9: Sodom and Gomorrah (2023)
Abraham #8 - A Righteous Christian Nation?
When people reference Sodom nowadays, it can be a fast route to controversy and even conflict. And there can be a great deal of latitude taken by Christians with terms like “righteous nation” and “Christian nation”—often when referencing their own nation. What can the story of the destruction of Sodom—and the later story of Jerusalem in the Southern Kingdom of Judah as seen through Ezekiel—teach us about how to view nations…and individuals in those nations? Join Kevin as we take a fresh look at the Sodom event in the time of Abraham and the idea of a “righteous Christian nation.” // Download this episode's Application & Action questions and PDF transcript at whitestone.org.

God's Attributes: Justice
This summer the streets of our cities have been filled with protestors marching and demanding justice. That desire for justice is something that is found in the heart of every man, woman and child. Why? Because we are formed in the image of God we share his character for wanting to see justice applied to the issues of our world. No where is God's sense of justice seen more clearly than the death of Jesus. God's demand for justice was satisfied in the substitutionary death of Jesus!
