The gift of tongues is undoubtedly one of those subjects that sparks hesitation. For many, it remains a conversation fraught with uncertainty, avoided due to fear and misunderstanding. Yet, beneath the surface of these deep waters, there exists an opportunity for profound spiritual growth and discovery. 

Kristin continues her journey through the deep waters and brings listeners into a conversation centered around the gift of tongues. To fully understand the gift of tongues, we must take a deep dive into the scripture.

Our hesitancy to engage with the gift of tongues often stems from fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of ridicule, or fear of misunderstanding. However, it's crucial to remember that fear has no place in spiritual growth. We should approach this gift with open hearts, ready to embrace what we might not fully comprehend.

While we might not fully grasp the intricacies of this gift, the desire to raise ourselves up to "taste and see that He is good" is an essential step in nurturing our spiritual lives

 It is an opportunity to explore the depths of spirituality and unveil the mysteries that lie within.

Is the gift of "speaking in tongues" still available for Christians today or did it cease during the second or third centuries? If it is still available; what is it? A gift with foreign languages? a private prayer language? something to be used in church worship services? Regardless of what you might think or believe about the spiritual gift of tongues, we can all agree that it has been controversial and confusing for many in the church. So what exactly is it and what does the Bible really teach? We strive to answer all of those questions by examining the Apostle Paul's warnings and encouragements found in 1st Corinthians 14.
