What A Life Coach Does & How They Make Money
Meet Gina Casbarro
Gina Casbarro is a certified Life Designer® coach and feng shui expert who empowers her clients to blaze their own paths and design the life and space of their dreams. Gina’s passion for coaching began as a manager at lululemon. She spent more than eight years there, coaching hundreds of people to develop as leaders and crush their goals. Her love of nature, symbolism, and intuition led her to feng shui. She now weaves these passions together to support her clients in aligning their mindset, lifestyle, and their environment with their truest goals and values. Gina also hosts the podcast “Follow your Spark,” which she began on a year-long road trip around the USA and beyond, interviewing people all over the world on what it looks like to create a life you love. With all of her incredible coaching and leadership experience, Gina is also the lead Mentor Coach for my Life Designer® Coach Academy certification program.
Pursuing Your Dream
Gina worked as a leader in a corporate setting that she liked but wasn’t quite aligned with her greater passions and purpose. She became a Feng Shui expert and got into coaching with a well-known personal development program, and decided to start her business on the side to help others design their space to match their vision and values.
Redefining Success
Like many of us, Gina used to struggle with mind drama that caused much suffering and a feeling of discontent and worry. Gina realized the importance of personal growth in working through these inner beliefs. She started to think and act in new ways that led to more joy, peace, and inner calm. We talked about redefining success from mere stats, numbers, dollars, and followers or needing outside forces to validate you to an inherent sense of value no matter what financial number you bring in or how many clients you have. I love this new definition and hope it inspires you, my friend.
Why Become A Coach
While Gina had leadership skills and had coached within Lululemon and Landmark education (a large personal development program where we had met and I had coached Gina), she could feel that something was missing. Gina wanted to know the exact tools, methodology, framework, and techniques to help others get out of their own way and to find greater joy in life. Gina joined the Life Designer® Coach Academy in 2020 and became a certified life coach within my program. I could see how these classes and the community were helping her to dig deeper into her own intuition and trust herself. Now fully on her own as a Life Designer® and Feng Shui expert, Gina is using her skills and heart to help others, coach, teach and mentor the students in the upcoming cohort of my life coach certification program.
Owning Your Worthiness
We also talked a lot about worthiness and money blocks, as it relates to stepping into a greater identity and making a larger impact. Like any muscle, worthiness is an important muscle to build. It’s not that you need to do anything to become worthy, it’s about building the muscle to remember and acknowledge your worthiness. This has taken Gina time, and she shares a few questions to ask yourself that can flip the script and remind you of your inherent worthiness and value. Here are a few of the questions we discussed:
Why am I capable of doing this?
What’s the value I bring here?
Why is my work so valuable?
Overcoming Money Blocks
Unlike other professions, coaching is one that still operates in a bit of a ‘wild west’ realm. There is a huge discrepancy between what coaches charge and make. The one thing that comes up for many coaches is blocks around money and charging for services, especially if this feels like something you’d do for free because you love it so much. Side note, if you feel like this is something you’d do for free, that is a great indication that you’re meant to coach and help others. Gina shared that what has helped her is creating offerings that cause the least amount of drama in her life and feel good in her body and energy.
It’s All About This…
Most importantly is that you learn to trust that you’re where you’re meant to be. Period. Where you are can be full of fertilizer for where you want to be.
