This week Brooke and Katie welcome our sweet friend Jamie Arena onto the podcast! We talk to her about her extensive experience freelancing in the film/TV world, and what it was like for her working on the set of Jersey Shore Family Vacation at the beautiful Margaritaville Resort right in our backyard of Kissimmee, Florida. We debate the strange career of former architect and current "legacyquel master builder" Joseph Kosinski, if Glen Powell's Hangman is meant to be seen as the Iceman or Maverick of the new class, how sweet that entire third act with Miles Teller truly is, what Christopher McQuarrie might have added in his final polish to the screenplay, and what Alex did down in San Diego for the 'Maverick' junket and premiere on the USS Midway.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a 2018 historical romantic-drama film directed by Mike Newell and written by Don Roos and Tom Bezucha. The screenplay is based on the 2008 novel of the same name, written by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. The film stars Lily James, Michiel Huisman, Glen Powell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Katherine Parkinson, Matthew Goode, Tom Courtenay and Penelope Wilton. Set in 1946, the plot follows a London-based writer who exchanges letters with a resident on the island of Guernsey, which had been under German occupation during World War II.
