Michael also chats how Garry Rogers played a major role in his development & what young drivers coming through the ranks need to do in order to start out with a race team.

    Oliver Askew

    Oliver Askew

    In the space of five years, Oliver Askew has climbed the Road to Indy Ladder and is now racing for the Arrow Mclaren SP Indy Car team. From his karting days, Askew showed immense talent, winning the Florida Winter Tour, before placing at the Rotax World Finals before his meteoric rise through the open wheel categories.

    We chat to Oliver about how his competitive junior karting years, where he was up against the countries best and how that made him work hard to stay at the top. The current Indy Lights champion is a modest young man with a good head on his shoulders and knows to not take this opportunity lightly racing with a global team like McLaren who have ties in Formula 1.

    You can hear the motivation in Oliver's voice that tells us we are listening to a future star in motor racing.

    Will Power

    Will Power

    An Indy Car legend, who grew up in Toowoomba, QLD would go on to win the 2014 Indy Car Championship & 2018 Indianapolis 500 to stamp his authority into Australian Motor Racing folklore.

    Will Power races for the all conquering Team Penske organisation in the United States' most prominent open wheel category at speeds in excess of 350km/h wheel to wheel with other competitors. We chat to Will about his journey from karts in rural Queensland, to tackling Europe in his teenage years before gaining a start in the now defunct Champ Car series in Surfers Paradise.

    To this day, Powers 37 race wins & 57 pole positions, has him alongside some of the greats in Indy Car history. Will sheds some light on his move into the karting industry and why he still drives them to stay sharp.
