ASK, SEEK, KNOCK | A SERMON ON MATTHEW 7:7-12
"We must approach God believing that God will say yes to our prayers when it is best for us." Jesus' longest recorded sermon, and most influential, is traditionally called The Sermon the Mount. The sermon is full of famous proclamations, phrases that are often memorized or hung on walls. But why are these words important 2,000 years later? This series of sermons is about The Sermon on the Mount and why it still matters. Impacted? Let us know: https://Creekside.Me/Respond Miss a sermon in this series? My God: My Good & My Perfect Father!

My God: My Good & My Perfect Father!

The significance of words can never be overstated. They not only help us establish definitions & descriptions. But they create our expectations – help us know what to expect from People, Life & God. Because thru the power of words we make possible everything we believe is available and accessible to us by God’s promises. We bring into view the kind of life we’re created to manifest & have as our reality.

    The Quarterback Dadcast podcast host

Casey is a person that brings heart, common sense, passion, vulnerability and curiosity. He is a person that truly cares about humanity and using his story to encourage and inspire others.

For those who are athletes, most can reflect on a time when they had their first major injury. Casey was the high school star quarterback that had it all going his way and a bright future ahead. As a 17 year old, a season ending injury can be devastating.

At that age, there is not a lot to draw back on because it’s the first time. He dealt with doubt and depression and told his coach that it was a real struggle. What the coach did for Casey helped change his attitude and steered him in the direction where he could use that experience to empathetically inspire others.

Casey is using his curiosity to ask the questions in order to gain a better understanding of those who have different experiences in life. He is humble enough to know that seeing the world through his eyes only is not what the world truly is.

In the world of Sales, Casey is one of the Elite. He is truly about winning the relationship. It is no great surprise this has led him to be a top performer in a competitive industry. You can quickly learn from the podcast as to why he has been so successful.

Episode 5: How to Heal from Father Wounds

Episode 5: How to Heal from Father Wounds

There is a kind of pain that exists which cannot be seen on the surface but can still be felt deeply.

Sometimes wounds aren’t as obvious as people think. Unseen pain will always be more hurtful and damaging than the pain that is obvious because unseen pain cannot be easily diagnosed. It is only until you go deeper, that you discover where the true pain is coming from.

Today I am talking about father wounds. The lack of a father figure in your life will affect you in ways you may not even consider. You may think your lonely or angry behavior is just a part of your personality when in reality, it could be directly connected to the father wounds you carry deep inside you.

Fathers bring safety, identity, and affirmation. The lack of a father brings forth loneliness, fear, paranoia, and insecurity. It will make you want attention from anyone. Even more, if you feel bitterness or unforgiveness towards your father, you are still carrying pain.

This is not a type of pain which time heals. Ignoring it will not help.

Can I humbly offer a solution to you? God, as the best Father, can heal you. He is a Father that has always loved you unconditionally and will never wish any evil towards you. The only action needed is to receive his love. However, to do so restoration is necessary.
Why? Because of the lack of a biological father makes it hard to receive your spiritual Father.

If you do not deal with your father wounds, you will continue to be bound by the pain this wound causes and fear is not the will of God for your life! He wants you to live in peace. He wants you to have a whole, healed heart. A joyful spirit.

This process is not easy, but if you allow God to do a work inside of your heart, I know you will begin to walk a life of liberty.

Here are the steps I took in healing that I hope help you as well.

[4:50] Open up to the place of pain. Wounds do not go away and heal by just ignoring it. You have to look at the place of pain, no matter how ugly, and face it head-on.

[14:43] Be delivered. This calls for deliverance from fear. More importantly, a spirit most people do not realize hides behind fear. Rejection.

[18:05] Receive the spirit of adoption. Receiving the love of the Father means you will receive all that your natural father has been unable to provide. This does not mean that your natural father does not have something to offer you of value.

[20:17] Know that God is the best Father. He can restore all the damage that not having the biological father that you need has done to you. Release the pain and receive His love and goodness.

    Romans 8:15
