A hero is nothing without the people they face. In fact, some would argue you're not truly a hero until you have a main villain who tries to oppose your daily justice activities. But I would say that makes you a true hero is how you relate to the people you go against and what you try to do after you apprehend them. How do you connect with your adversary and what makes them unique to your heroism? Batman is a prime example of this analogy because the relationship he has with his villains builds immense controversy and makes people wonder why he hasn't taken them out for good. Let's dive deep into their dynamics and define what makes their affinity so unparalleled. 

Does anyone get more excited to watch a Gary Daniels action movie than Will & Matt? Nope! Canada, costumes, and martial arts walk tall in this episode on the 1996 classic Hawk's Vengeance about a man above the law, introducing a highly underrated character villain archetype that deserved its own sequel.

1. Batman: City of Madness is epic in a lot of ways and visually stunning. What’s the basic premise when it comes to your take on Batman?
2. There are a few plots simmering in the first issue, with Two-Face, Alfred, and The Court of Owls…and more, what has been the most fun developing?
3. Talk to us about the importance of Morrison & McKean’s Arkham Asylum in this story and your own life!
4. I love the visual representation of Harvey/TF, from imagery to lettering. Take us through your process of creating this take on the character.
5. Like many Lovecraft stories, this one is told partly thru letters. Was that part of the structure from the beginning?
6. With fans picking this up in just a few days, was there a particular page or panel that you spent extra time on getting right?
7. As a cosmic horror, what are some of your favorite cosmic horror stories?
8. The color choices are compelling, with blues, reds, and purples. Were you after a certain visual story through color?
9. It appears Batman is sporting purple in his costume like in the old days, what approach did you take with designing a new suit and do you have a favorite of his many suits?

I think we've all been impressed one way or another about the sheer intelligence that some characters have in the fandom world of comics. Whether its their tactical skills or strategic mind or the countless inventions they create. Intelligence is one of the few overlooked "powers" characters have in their worlds that should be on the forefront of importance to development. There have been countless debates about who is the smartest in many categories to determine the victor. But who is it?
