Media and advertising have a tendency to worship youth. This is odd since nearly fifty million Americans are over the age of 65. In "Hot Media with Bob Mann" episode 217, Bob focuses on media portrayals of seniors. He talks about how older people can be ignored and stereotyped, but also focuses on positive portrayals such as "Grace and Frankie." The brutally honest storyline in the magnificent film "The Father" is also addressed.

Emmy nominee Jane Kaczmarek (“Malcolm in the Middle,” Good People) and Will Dagger (HBO’s “I Know This Much Is True,” PoA’s The Press Conference) star as mother and son. After the performance, the artists join host Claudia Catania to discuss writing for actors and bringing theater chops to the world of sitcom TV.
