    What's Next? With Aryn Chambers

    What's Next? With Aryn Chambers

EMERGENCY Podcast. So much has happened in two days since we dropped we had to touch on some urgent topics. Including the flames hiring Darryl Sutter, Drakes new songs, Russell Wilson rumours. We also sadly had to discuss the passing of hockey legend Walter Gretzky along with former CFL  NFL player Chris Schultz also know for being a main stay on TSN panels. Included is an interview with female hockey player Aryn Chambers where we dive into her hockey career and female hockey and where it stands today.

Wing Sauce- Episode 57 Derek Roehl

Wing Sauce- Episode 57 Derek Roehl

    Episode 57 (Mitch Callahan)

The boys this week had on Derek Roehl. Derek played quite extensively over in Europe, however not before he made his name known in collegiate hockey for the Western Michigan Broncos. Derek has played with quite a few different former and current Red Wings. While at WMU, he played with blue-liner Danny DeKeyser and NHL/AHL tough guy Luke Witkowski. Oh... did we mention that same team was coached by the Red Wings current bench boss, Jeff Blashill? He has quite the stories from his collegiate career - especially when he was reminiscing on the days of hanging at “The Bin,” which is the Broncos hockey house on campus in Kalamazoo. This is a two part interview as we had so much to discuss from his days playing for Little Ceasars to his NAHL/USHL to his collegiate career, that we didnt want to rush his stories.

Wing Sauce - Episode 55 - The Tyler and Dustin Show

Wing Sauce - Episode 55 - The Tyler and Dustin Show

    Episode 55 (Niklas Kronwall)

It was back to the roots with Tyler and Dustin -- Connor decided to go ski some slopes in Colorado and left the boys to take on the episode by themselves this week.

There was a LOT to discuss regarding the boys in the winged wheel. Dropping 8 straight games has some people wondering what the answer is... maybe coaching?

Fantasy round-up has been delayed one week due to the simple fact that Tyler was dealt his first loss and is salty about it. Dustin and Tyler also tease some upcoming interviews for the pod!

#1 - Kasabuski Brothers Memorial Rink

#1 - Kasabuski Brothers Memorial Rink

In the pilot episode  (remastered on 05/24/20), host Bob Winter answers a variety of compelling questions: How does becoming a hockey parent upend your life? How did Rink Stories start (Hint: don't go to the "Learn to Skate" class for the free donuts). What is the biggest shithole arena on the tour? What does the name Kasabuski mean to the community? What was the most devastating youth hockey loss -  evah?

NOTE: We’re very proud of this episode; as we bumbled through the creation of this, our pilot episode, you’ll have to excuse the inconsistent audio quality, even after a recent remastering.  We lost the first attempt at recording this episode. We were just figuring it all out. It's raw.

Vancouver’s housing costs send interprovincial migrants packing

Vancouver’s housing costs send interprovincial migrants packing

    On BIV Today...

Economist Jock Finlayson (1:29) from the Business Council of B.C. expands on his latest column in Business in Vancouver  examining how the region’s high housing costs are dissuading inter-provincial migrants from moving to B.C. It’s not as if expensive housing is a new phenomenon here, so Finlayson looks at the changes in historical patterns behind this trend.

Then KMAC Group CEO Keith McIntyre (14:43) recounts his career landing athlete sponsorship deals with some of the world’s top brands. The author of On Your Mark discusses how working with Wayne Gretzky, Shaquille O’Neil, Catriona Le May Doan and Steve Yzerman influenced the way he does business.
