    Proud Black Man

    Proud Black Man

He'd watch shows like Gilligan's Island and The Brady Bunch and think "I could do that!" Then a series of events moved Chris Guyton closer to his dream of acting. He moved to California after college and began working in aerospace. A colleague invited him to a party where he met a casting agent and his acting career was launched.

He works as a Production Assistant for the Tennis Channel. This work allows him time to continue acting, too. He appears in the 2020 movie Archenemy. You can also catch Chris in a recent episode of Lucifer and the 2021 Shameless episode "Father Frank, Full of Grace."

Favorite song: You Got Your Hooks in Me by O'Jays. Followed closely by Family Reunion and Cry Together.

Favorite words: Your blessings are in your journey. His favorite books include The Alchemist, The Four Agreements and The Purpose of Power.

    Hoosier Hysterics! - A.J. GUYTON

    Hoosier Hysterics! - A.J. GUYTON
An all-time Hoosier great, A.J. Guyton's career statistics speak for themselves, but unfortunately, he had to endure one of the most tumultuous times in the history of IU basketball. While the negative media spotlight was focused on Bloomington, and many players transferred away from the Hoosiers, A.J. not only persevered but he also stuffed the stat sheet and the record books at IU. In this conversation, A.J. opens up about the divide he has felt between himself and the IU family and speaks very openly about how much we wants to fix it. A.J. Guyton is an IU Hall of Famer, Big Ten Player of the year, consensus first-team All-American, former NBA player and now current assistant coach in Division I. Also, he's just an awesome guy. Hoosier fans will enjoy his insight, his honesty and his continued love for IU!!! Ep 109: How A Retirement Researcher Implements Retirement Planning For His Own Clients with Jon Guyton

In this episode, Jon shares his unique approach to retirement planning, including how and why he separates out client retirement expenses into two distinct categories. Listen in to learn how he is applying his own research to the way he works with clients, the sustainable retirement income framework he utilizes in his practice, and how he went from qualifying for the low-income EIC tax credit in his first year of business to running an incredibly successful firm.

    Forgotten Cardiovascular Physiology by Myburgh

    Forgotten Cardiovascular Physiology by Myburgh

The human circulation is a complex system that has evolved over millenia, primarily designed to promptly respond to conditions of stress - the fight and flight response. The traditional physiological approach focuses on the heart as a pump, adapting to changes in volume and metabolic states.

These principles are underpinned by the Starling equation and incorporated into an adaptation of Ohm\'s law. These principles have been maladapted, punctuated by an increasing reliance on surrogate and derived variables that have little to do with teleological haemodyanamic responses.Insights into the central role of the autonomic nervous system are provided by Guytonian theory that in part explain the physiological fallacy germane to many clinical protocols and practices.

These fallacies have been amplified by commercial studies directed at short-term physiological improvements that have little to do with patient-centred outcomes in the medium and longer term.Such effects have been demonstrated in recent high-quality RCTs that force a re-appraisal of seductive short-term physiologically-based gratification.
