    Main Points From Today’s Episode

    1. The hormone hierarchy, which can be found in Sarah and Dr. Brooke’s book, Hangry, helps women figure out their individual hormonal issues and where to start on the path to recovery. Women can return to the hormone hierarchy during any life changes such as pregnancy, perimenopause, or big life stressors.
    2. Cortisol, insulin, and thyroid hormones function as metabolic masters. They can have a ripple effect across your entire hormone landscape, which is why Dr. Brooke and Sarah place them at the top of the priority list.
    3. Exercise is powerful medicine, and it can be used to help heal hormones or drive them into further disarray. The quiz in Sarah and Dr. Brooke’s book can help you customize your exercise plan, based on your hormones and individual needs.

Love Hate Relationship With Vending Machines?

Love Hate Relationship With Vending Machines?

The world's first vending machine was invented in Ancient Egypt in 215 BCE.  Of course, vending machines are everywhere now and have recently been expanding their offerings to satisfy the masses. I guess sometimes people have an intense craving for a certain type of food. These people are also known as opsomaniacs.

Ohio State University has its own bacon vending machine. And there's a pecan pie vending machine in Cedar Creek, Texas.  Other rassasy vending machines around the world dispense hot pizza, burritos, live crabs, baguettes, and caviar!  Rassasy is something to satisfy your hunger. Did you forget to pack your pants?  The Standard hotels in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami actually have clothing in their vending machines!

Ep 32 - Big Boobs Are Back in Style

Ep 32 - Big Boobs Are Back in Style
Turns out being hangry is actually backed by science. The thing to do these days is be gender identity friendly, but I don't buy into the gender fluidity. Charcoal masks don't work if you're just ripping off your skin. Brendon Urie has to pass on fans because they've abused their privileges. The New York Post put out a ridiculous article about big boobs making a comeback... really?

88: Get off the sugar rollercoaster

88: Get off the sugar rollercoaster

Many of us are stuck on a blood sugar rollercoaster and we don't even know it. We find ourselves reaching for a muffin at 10 a.m. and can’t make it through the day without a mid-afternoon cup of coffee or energy drink. It’s so common, we’ve come to regard it as normal.

Today, an expert in nutritional science and kinesiology, Lindsea Willon, joins us to explain how we can make different choices to avoid blood sugar spikes and dips. She offers practical tips like reminding us not to take sugar into our bodies "unopposed"--meaning vegetables and fruits should be eaten with some kind of fat to slow down their absorption into our blood stream.

By eating differently, we can avoid short-term issues, like headaches, sleeplessness, PMS, and getting "hangry." Proper nutrition can also help us avoid more serious health concerns like diabetes, PCOS, joint pain, and injuries.

Lindsea understands, both intellectually and from life experience, the importance of a healthy diet. An athlete in college, her poor diet led to injury and fatigue. Now, she fuels herself with nutrient-dense foods and encourages others to do the same. Her goal is for everyone to experience the energy and vitality that is their birthright. This episode will certainly give you the tools needed to get on the right track and to get off the blood sugar rollercoaster for good!
