YNFA 024: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, or 2001: A Drag Odyssey
Brush out your favorite feathered wig and practice your German deadpan as we search for the Origin of Love in John Cameron Mitchell’s dragstravaganza Hedwig and the Angry Inch. How did this movie so perfectly capture how shitty it is to be a touring performer with no following? Is Andrea Martin’s Phyllis Stein the ultimate ride or die b*tch. Is Miriam Shor’s Yitzhak ultimately shortchanged? And if you ever meet someone who doesn’t appreciate this soundtrack, how quickly should you run in the other direction? We’ll give you some answers as soon as we find our coveted Wig In A Box covers album wherever its hiding in our CD collection.

Rumpelstilzchen

Jupiter Jazz (Part 2) ft. Mason Alexander Park
The second half of Jupiter Jazz is intense, somber, peak Cowboy Bebop. We've been wondering how Netflix will take on this legendary episode. Here to give us the reassurance we DESIRE (get it?) is Mason Alexander Park, the actor who plays Gren in the live action adaptation. They shine a spotlight on gender nonconformity, the queer experience, and a future (not just in science fiction!) that has space for all.

Does It Hold Up? Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
In this episode of There are Lots of Things, April and Maddie ask the question: Does "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (the movie) even hold up? This is just our opinion man. Let us know what you think!
Also on the table for discussion: our houses, the masterpiece of cinematic music "Hedwig's Theme," and a completely unbiased opinion of which houses are best.
RE: Sound Quality
Hey everyone,
We just wanted to give you the heads up that due to some technical difficulties that we're still trying to diagnose, the sound quality on this episode is not quite up to the high standard we've set for ourselves. We really appreciate all of our listeners and want to give you the best possible product, so we wanted to make sure you know that we're aware of the problem and we've already invested in some secondary equipment to keep this from happening again. Thank you for all of your support!
Cheers,
April and Maddie

Episode 102 - Glass review w/ Picture This
This week on Shaken Not Nerd, yet again our host Ollie couldn't make it (he works in a movie theatre) so we thought who else do we know that has what Ollie has? Height, a full beard, funny, a great sense in fasion (Ollie doesn't have that, but that doesn't mean we cant appreciate it!). So we asked our good friends Nick and Lachlan at Picture This to join us to talk about the first ever trilogy in the Shamalanaverse.. Glass (sequel to Unbreakable and SPOILERS - Split)
Besides reviewing Glass, chatting Split and Unbreakable, we also talk about the latest movie trailers! John Wick 3, Game of Thrones, Spider-Man far from home, and the new Ghostbusters!
