THRASH OF THE TITANS: Metallica Vs Megadeth
In the early days of thrash metal there arose a handful of bands who brought the genre to the masses - among them Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus and Overkill. Metallica was to become the biggest of them all, but following close behind was Megadeth, formed by former Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine. Metallica and Megadeth have each had successful careers, carving out legacies which have forever shaped metal music. Along the way there have been triumphs, tragedies and rivalries. Many metal fans love both bands, but some favor one over the other. In this episode of My Haunted Head we'll look at the careers of both bands and whittle their catalogs down to the Top 5 albums by each!

#4 - Un supereroe al concerto dei Metallica
2 Assholes Talking Music #105
One of my favorite things about doing this show is getting everything prepared just right before we open the mics only to have it completely derail once we turn on said mics. Tonight was one of those shows. We're a little short on news tonight so decided to just fold up the show and have a good ol' fashioned rant session. Granted, we did manage to fit a few stories in like James Hetfield going back to rehab, Kanye making the switch to gospel, and an interesting study in music listening habits across the globe. Well, after that. Let's just say the drinks were flowing and we got a little long winded. Everything from how old white people are ruining social media, millenials getting blamed for everything, toxic nostalgia, people who say stupid shit like, "every one is offended these days" and a few other gems.
However, we did manage to right the ship at the end of the show and squeeze in some great Chicago punk from the band Cuddle Riot. Buckle up because it's a bumpy fucking ride!!

Two Dudes Talk About Metallica: Part 1 The Early Daze
This was a fun one. Robert and Sean dust off their memories of their teenage years to discuss, analyze and laugh about their love of the greatest (warts and all) heavy metal band in the world, Metallica.
This not intended to be a definitive history, rather a fun, long-form discussion will lots of personal anecdotes.
This is only part one. It covers the formation of the band to the ...And Justice for All tour.
Harsh language and rampant speculation abound.
PART TWO COMING SOON(ish)!
Thanks for listening
