Yvette Durazo, MA, PCC is the author of the book Conflict Intelligence (Conflict-IQ™) The Missing Piece to Turbocharge Leaders’ and Organizations’ Emotional Intelligence. She is the principal consultant of Unitive Consulting, a workplace organizational effectiveness, strategic conflict management, and leadership development firm.

She is a Professor for the University of California, Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Extension for the Human Resource Management Certification Program and is the Chair of the Advisory Board for the program.

She teaches Mediation Skills courses for undergraduate and master’s degree students at Portland State University as well. Former Adjunct Professor for the National University and the School General Council of the Judiciary in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico, in where she taught online and in-person Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Human Resources Management, Communication & Conflict Management, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Ethics, Neutrality, Conciliation, and Mediation courses for over six years.

Episode 138: Ready to be a Thought Leader? with Denise Brosseau

Denise Brosseau is a speaker, executive coach, consultant and the author of Ready to Be a Thought Leader? (Wiley). She is known as a ’thought leader about thought leadership.'

Denise began her career in the technology industry, leading marketing and product teams at companies like Kensington and Motorola. After completing her MBA at Stanford, Denise focused the next stage of her career on women’s access to venture capital.

She co-founded the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (later Watermark) and Springboard Enterprises. Together, these organizations have helped the women founders of companies like Constant Contact, Canva, iRobot, and many others raise millions in capital to scale their businesses.

Since 2008, Denise has been the founder and CEO of the Thought Leadership Lab, where she works with women executives and their teams that want more influence and impact and to leave a legacy that matters. Her clients include executives at Zoom, PayPal, Roche and many smaller organizations.

As a speaker and facilitator, she has had the opportunity to present at companies, conferences, and retreats across the US and internationally.

Outside of work, Denise has dedicated her time to important causes like food banks and creating communities of women leaders.

She is the co-founder of the Authoress community, an invite-only group of women authors who share tips on how to market their books. She is also a textile artist who loves quilting and weaving.

Named in 2017 as one of the “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business” by the San Francisco Business Times and as “Business Role Model of the Year” in the 2018 Women in IT/Silicon Valley Awards, Minette is a recognized leader with a unique perspective.

Kimberly Best, RN, MA, is the author of “How to Live Forever, A Guide to Writing the Final Chapter of Your Life Story.” She is a speaker and trainer on the topics of conflict management, dispute resolution processes, life transitions, and how to make difficult decisions - including end of life issues.

Her mediation practice focuses on Family Mediation, Health, and Elder Care Mediation, Civil and Business Mediation, and Conflict Coaching.

In addition, she is a facilitator for challenging business and social conversations. Kim is passionate about helping others resolve conflicts in a productive, non-litigious way using mediation, facilitation and collaborative problem solving, in order to find optimal solutions for all parties. She believes that having challenging conversations in a safe, non-blame space can promote better problem solving and increase emotional connection.

She is the proud mother of 5 grown children and the grandmother of 4 lively little ones.
